An really interesting three part article about an ice hockey enforcer, which is basically seems to be a guy selected to pick fights for the team.

I'm not a fan of ice hockey in any way but really enjoyed this article and was quite shocked and saddened by what this guy went through to make it in the NHL.

It seems like a few of the guys in these roles have similar problems and since he died, a couple of other enforcers committed suicide.

Well worth a read if you have the time.

For anyone who has never heard of it - Warren Zevon's song about a ice hockey enforcer click - strangely a lot of hockey fans see it as purely humorous song
Until the philosophy which hold one race

Superior and another inferior

Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned

Everywhere is war, me say war
That until there are no longer first class

And second class citizens of any nation

Until the colour of a man's skin

Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes

Me say war

I'm an ice hockey fan and having seen the guy play for New York it's quite saddening to read it to be honest. Still very interesting though nonetheless.
