Just watching Birmingham game with Burke playing. Been doing really well down there and added goals to his game in recent seasons. Seems to have been forgotten a wee bit.

Always had talent but was injury prone and lightweight.

Worth a shout for Scotland maybe?

He's definitely worth a call up. He faded away at Rangers in his last few seasons but has done well in the Championship for both Cardiff and Birmingham.

Fantastic player on his day. Done very well at Cardiff. Prefers the wing and isn't shite or past it, which can't be said for many of Scotland's current wide options.

Am I right in thinking he said he didn't want to play for Scotland a few seasons back to spend more time with his family? Probably would have had a few more caps by now had things been different. Definitely worth a call up.

He did indeed. He had split up with his partner, and his wee boy was living up here with her. He used the international breaks to visit him.

I believe he is either back together with, or on better terms with his partner now, and he made himself available again last year. Levein included him in the squad for the Faroes game, but he pulled out, and hasn't been in a squad since.

Showing much more consistancy in the last couple of seasons, thats what bugged me when i watched him at Rangers. Lost a bit of pace since his injuries but he's still puts in a decent cross and links up well. Would rather see Forrest wide right but burke is a good option on current form.

He's certainly worth a call up on his current form.

Really cannot cross a ball. Can dribble, has decent positioning and judgement and scares a defender, so as an attacking central-midfielder maybe, but international-standard winger? No.

Forrest has blinding pace, great awareness and touch, and a good delivery. Next?

Both him and McCormack really deserving of a call-up IMO. McCormack even more so but that's been discussed to death on here.

Disagree. Chris Burke has improved no-end. Definetly worth a call up.

Does the Championship have international breaks?

Another winger worth a look is Blackpools Matt Phillips. Two hat-tricks in the last 3 weeks and only 19. Worth a call up to under 21s

Scoring a hat-trick against a side who have never been in the Football League is impressive, but not quite to the point of trying to get him to switch from the country he was born, raised and capped at U-20 level for.

Forrest is better than him anyway.
