Illl be going to this with the lad presuming im back onshore.

Funilly enough last game i was able to catch was falkirk away last year.

Ill go for 1-0 staggies. Hope the muppet that was there last time shouting and swearing at county players constantly isnt there again as i wasdnt appreciative of the language in front of the nipper and the fact he sounded like he was undergoing hormone replacement was rather cringeworthy.

You're safe. I'm in Inverness with relatives for Christmas so I intend to spend Boxing Day wandering around Dingwall muttering darkly at folk..

Johnny Flynn is out for 5 weeks due to injuring a ligament in training. He wouldn't have played on Boxing Day but it's starting to leave us short at the back. No CB or RB cover at the moment plus Vigurs probably playing out of position at LB.

Is this going to be like the virus that mysteriously wiped out none of your first team squad when we played you last?

Well it did effect 8 of the squad. But unsurprisingly the "24-hour bug" didn't last from Wednesday to Saturday.

Are we gonnae have Adams and Prezza fall out again? I enjoyed the pre-match spar the last time.
PS RC do have the biggest budget in the league.

Taking all that into account, I can see us likely bringing someone in as cover in January.

Getting Darren McCormack back would be ideal since he can play anywhere across the back four.

If he's fit and available I'm sure he'd do a turn.

There's a distinct lack of effort in that post due to the absence of any crowd chat. I am disappoint.

I booked my seat on the bus a couple of days ago. I'm looking forward to this one but I don't think County will win it. Brittain's return is a welcome boost however.

OK then. Was speaking to a director of an SPL team and they are dreading you being promoted. Most expensive journey and no income in return with about 50 fans coming. As he put it really just parasites.

I appreciate that Gaz but when folk wonder why we may bring a small crowd I put it down to the logistics and cost. If we were based in the central belt with say a 1 hour drive to the game then I am sure our away attendances would be far bigger, I for one would go to a lot more games. Outside ICT and Elgin City our nearest game would be Saint Johnstone and thats a 5hr round trip on a good day!
Anyway I hope all those going enjoy their day :)

See that is the bit I don't get. I understand to do the journey every second week is difficult however a top of the table clash on a national holiday with decent weather forecast should bring more people out surely. It doesn't look like it will though. The reality is, cue the backlash, that RC do not have a support like Falkirk, Dundee and Partick that follow their team is decent numbers. I therefore can only conclude it means more to fans of club like Dundee, Falkirk and Partick. It is in the blood. RC are fortunate to have a big backer otherwise they would be little better than the Elgin's of this world.

This we know. Will make it all the more enjoyable IF it happens.

Back to the game, players are training Xmas day. Brittain back is good for us, but what to do with our troublesome LB position. i suspect Scotty Mo will get another chance. A draw would be decent.

I see Johnny Flynn was injured because his studs were caught on the indoor pitch. I take it, that it is only myself that knows that playing with studs or blades on 3G pitches greatly increases your chances of joint injuries and bone injuries. I wouldn't panic yet. Munro and Boyd are first choice and will play if they stay fit. I would only get cover in if they get injured as well. There is still no point in wasting money on a player that may not play.
You will retire me, but Iniesta will retire us both.

You have to ask yourself this who would want to go to Grangemouth on their days off? I am bored of top of the table clashes, we have had seven already this season. Giving this one big yawns just thinking about it.

I'm sure County being in the SPL would put a dent in the massive profits the SPL clubs are currently making.

Ross County do have less of a fanbase than the teams you mention, but if we we're playing them up there, we would take a lot less than we would to the likes of Partick or Dundee.

Its not that their fans don't care, its more that they have much more of an outlay for away games every second week and at this time of year money (and time) can be tight.

They've also had numerous 'top of the table' clashes this year, so its not like that makes a huge difference. Also coupled with the fact that its a much bigger game for Falkirk (and arguably Dundee) than it is for them. They'll be top regardless of the result.

I know it's not a fair comparison, but how many did we take up on the last game?
We hope that you choke

How many did you take up the season you got "relegated"? I don't think our crowd is going to be that bad, certainly bigger than we had before. But people who expect County to take a large travelling support probably also expect a playstation and a handjob for christmas.
