A St J and QP double is at just over 5/1 on Coral. Slapped a couple of quid on that.

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

Valencia at 1.95 now with Betfair with 40 minutes still to go - I'm putting on 5 units.
Ol' Hick'ry said we could take them by surprise if we didn't fire our muskets 'til we looked them in the eyes

I'd sworn off betting on cup games, but for some reason I did tonight.

£19 single on Yeovil & £8.50 on Valencia/Grimsby. Not a single winner between them.

Never again.

A late equalier for Pololski meant I got my stake back for the Koln game.

It looks like Grimsby will be the only team to f**k up my treble.

Had a few cheeky £2 doubles, one of which came up: Siena win/draw and Dagenham win/draw which returned £8 or so.

Overall about £2 down for the night.

Surely whatever side Udinese put out against Celtic's thin travelling squad will be good enough to win.

I cant access odds here, but will be interested to see them

Udinese 4/7
Draw 11/4
Celtic 5/1

Odds with Mcbookie as it's the only one I can access at work. Likely to be similar elsewhere though. Can't say I'm that tempted at those odds.

Besiktas at home to Stoke, the Turks only need a draw to qualify but I think they'll go all out against a Stoke team who won't bother their arse and play the worst side possible.

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

Besiktas v Stoke
- Besiktas need victory to win this group or draw for advancing to the next round.
- Stoke already secured advancing to the next round.
- Stoke will play two away EPL games in the next 7 days (v Wolves, v Man City).
- weather will be clear with over 10c in Istanbul…
- Besiktas miss injured Quaresma and Simao...
- Stoke have had some problems with getting to Turkey...

Theyve left 11 players at home apparently...

This from BBC website as well:

"The Potters will take to the field having endured a difficult journey following delays. A scheduled four-hour flight from Manchester to Istanbul turned into a seven-hour trip taking in three airports".

I'm sure Dynamo will thump Maccabi but it won't be enough, Besiktas, I have no doubt, will not lose. After seeing the trouble Stoke are having, makes it even more clear cut

Ive had a £20 double

Besiktas 4/5
Udinese 3/4

Paddy Power yesterday

Couldnt resist Besiktas at that price, even at 0-1 it looked safe money.

Cue Celtic to go and win in Europe for the first time in 1000 years....!

Hapoel TA v Legia Warsaw
Match is without competitive importance and both teams have defensive absences. I expect open game at a very good weather, home team want to make happy their fans at Bloomfield stadium and away side to successfully complete this year. See some goals here...
over 2,5 @2.00 Unibet, Stan James 2/10

-------------------------------------- ----

Udinese v Celtic
Game of day for me. Celtic need "only" to win if they want to progress. Udine will go to the next round even with a draw tonight. Both teams play a very good recently, but Celtic have won only once in 32 European away games inthe past seven years. Scottish clubs, meanwhile, have rustled up one victory in all of their 32 assignments on Italian soil across 54 years. On the other hand, Italians are very good in Europe this season (Inter, Milan, Napoli and Lazio will play in the spring), and all expect that Udinese join them. But low ticket sales (7,000 yesterday) indicates that interest of fans is a bit.
Home team have all wins at their Friuli where they conceded only two goals in 7 Seria A games. But bad news is that must play two big games in the next 7 days, against Lazio and Juventus, so I believe that players won't be fully focused tonight. Top scorer Di Natale will probably start game on the bench. On the other hand, Lennon will be without injured Matthews, Loovens, Commons and Ledley. Wilson is back in defense while Izaguirre is fit, but likely won't play.
Hoops have improved form and raised team moral. Although they need win, will play without pressure. Most powerful part of team's offensive with Hooper, Stokes, Samaras, Forest... and I see them how to score against three man defense Udinese. Course, host will play to a favorable result, maybe to win, but without Di Natale (at least 1st half) see chance for the Bhoys. I won't longer, in my view this is a good value, but for mini stake...

I had £3 in my account so stuck it on 4-0 Udinese @ 25/1  , Celtic are horrendous away from home and hopefully will crumble early doors.

Yes I'm sure it was nothing to do with being 2-0 up at half time then getting 2 players sent off in the second half
