I've obviously played my fair share of Fifa etc at mates, and for a while one of my flatmates had a Playstation which led to me getting 100% on Red Dead Redemption. Alternative games were at a bit of a premium...
Now, what I'm really asking is what are the real "classic" next gen games? I've already got Arkham Asylum and I've sourced a copy of GTA4 to borrow, but I'm interested in picking up a few other games over the next couple of weeks.

Once you complete Arkham Asylum then don't hesitate, just go and buy Arkham City.
Fallout New Vegas is amazing and will keep you occupied for months.

Cheers for the reply, I tried an emulator in the past, but it was a 3 disk game and I think i done the input at the startup screen wrong, so when I got to a certain point, it just crashed.

I'm in a simialr vein, i picked up an xbox and Fifa afew months ago, being a newbie to next gen gaming.
I've almost finished Arkham City, and it's easily one of my top 5 games ever as a result.
Aside from Arkham Asylum, what games in a simialr vein are worth picking up? Actually, wouldn't Arkham Asylum be a crusing let down after Arkham City?

Skyrim (tho suspect you have this on pc)
Arkham City
Gears 3
Dead Space 1 or 2
Mass Effect 2
Lost oddessy (old school turn based rpg on 4 disks)
id recommend Fallout 3/new vegas but if you have skyrim will seem like a cheap immitation

I think it would be worth while mate, probably get it for about £10 now and if nothing else you can see the small improvements made from 1st to 2nd game but still great game

It probably will, there's a lot less gadgets but you still get to fight different villains(although again, there's a lot less of them). Should've bought Asylum first

I should've, but I couldn;t wait to play Arkham City, it looked ridiculous. there's loadsa stuff in that game I appear to miss, I might bump the thread with a spoilerific post about side missions.
I get the impression that the Assasins Creed series would be a good Batman substitute in terms of gameply style, would I be right?

If you do then I'll happily help, I've completed all the side missons
Never played them.

I've got an Xbox 360, is there a compatible version of GTA: Vice City that I can buy?

And, would it be better value buying one of these or getting a newer one and picking up a cheap PS2 instead?
