Get it started for this weeks betting.

My picks:

Porto
Lyon
Chelsea

Over the 2 days with £20 on it.

Didnt think there was a lot to bet on due to some teams having been through and others fightin for qualification.

Does anyone have any idea where you can get decent stats for Champions League games?

Cheers.

Think I'll back Chelsea at 3/4, suprised Barca in the 1/3 range even though it's a dead rubber they are relatively long odds. Depending on the Aresnal team they may be worth a small wager at 10/3.

Man Utd shouldn't be 8/13 away to Basel, regardless of their poor form in the CL and the game at Old Trafford.

Also think Bayern look massive at 5s away to City, but assume they will play a weakened team.

I reckon Bayern will want Man City out as they would be a potential danger in the knock out stages, also it wouldn't be very sporting to Napoli playing a weakended side.

The worry is they might prioritise the Stuttgart game at the weekend. But still... 5/1 (!) after they strolled past them a few weeks ago is cracking. Man City are certainly a lay at best-priced 4/6.

I can see a bit of value in Olympiakos tonight. Arsenal have left half their squad in London and the Greek sides are always formidable at home. Added to the fact that Olympiakos go through if they win and Marseille fail to win in Dortmund, I think 10/11 is good value.

Dortmund, Porto and Barnsley treble. Single on Arsenal to win or draw at Evens - already through but playing guys who should be keen to put in a good performance.

Going with what on paper at least looks like a straight forward treble. if only it was that easy.

Annan vs Stranraer 10/11 - because Annan are simply a better side.

Barca(-1) vs BATE 8/11 - Not much explanation needed. Regardless of how tight BATE will keep it Barca simply have to much class. Think that is a decent price.

Plzen vs AC Milan DNB 4/7 - Every chance AC will rest players given that they are already through, but plzen's lack of goals means I can't see them doing enough to win this one.

Pays circa 5/1 with PP.

APOEL @ 7/5 seems good, top of the group but haven't qualified at home to bottom of the group and out. Can't see Shakhtar putting up much of a fight.

Chelsea @ 8/11 - pretty standard, they need to beat Valencia(I think a draw would do) to ensure qualification.

AC Milan @ 13/10 - Plzen are awful.

Olympiakos @ 5/6 - They need a win and Arsenal have qualified. Van Persie won't be playing so Arsenal will struggle to score, I can't see any of the big players like Arteta or Walcott playing either which will further compound the lack of goals.

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

A 0-0 if Leverkuden get beat means they would be out.

Ah, wasn't sure about the head to heads as all three would be on the same points. Makes the match even more important for Chelsea

Porto vs Zenit - BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
Both of these sides still have a chance of qualifying, dependant on other results as well as theirs, and having both already scored and conceded a few in the group so far, I feel there are a few goals in this one. I thoughts about Over 2.5 Goals as well, but given it could be a night where things change on a goal-by-goal basis, I was happy to take 5/6 on both teams netting tonight.

I had Chelsea and Barca -3, paid around 9/1.

It could and should have been better though. 1) I only put £5 on it. 2) I really fancied Olympiacos and didn't add them to the line.

Still a win's a win, and it covers the last two weekends losses!

Not sure what happened in the APOEL game but Milan, what the f**k. I'd worked it so that each stake returned the same-ish so I've still got the same money that I put in.

You need to do more research before parting with your cash. APOEL had already qualified.
