Top poetry there, I thought.

Notice he's thrown his hat in with England rather than Scotland. Wonder what the reaction to him will be on the Tartan Army Message Board.

He played against Scotland last week and I dont think there was much of a reaction, why would there be? he was born in England and feels English, fair play to the boy.

For every Jordan Rhodes, there'll be an Angus Gunn.

I think I know who I'd rather have at this point. His dad was crap also.
I am not the real Jim Leighton.

Was he not playing for England because it was the school boys. Just like Giggs when he played for England. Plus you would think his dad would want him to play for Scotland

The Under 16s is no longer anything to do with the Schools FA and you have to be eligible for the team represented.

Each to their own but I personally find it incredible that someone who has a father who played international football for one country would want to play for another.

So have I. My dad isn't a Scotland international either and I wouldn't go near Wembley if you paid me.

Like I said previously, each to their own.

Sorry I lied. I've been to Wembley to see Scotland at Euro 96, the schoolboy team, FA cup semi, Charity Shield a couple of times and to see a few concerts. Oasis inparticular were very good.

No England games when we aren't the opposition though ;)

Bryan Gunn, probably let his son make his own decisions.

I just dont see that being a deciding factor.

If the guy feels English then I see no reason for him to consider playing for Scotland just because his dad did.
If he felt part Scottish then it may sway his decision but if not then I'd imagine its irrelevant to him.

More accurately, it's about whether he's ever one of England's top three eligible goalkeepers. If not, our blazers will be salivating all over him as usual.
