It's strange. I though if they were that good then they would be doing well this season.

Hutton was the best player on the park when Thistle beat Morton 5-0 a few months ago. Totally dominated Fred Bachirou, who, according to Morton fans, is the next Zidane.
So you know he's good.

All wind ups aside Bachirou has looked like a good player every time I've seen him.
Aye, Good luck in life.

Ha, fair play. In my defense, i'm ferociously ill just now (think Darren Fletcher mixed with George Best minus the self infliction), and the fact that i managed to cobble together a nearly coherent sentence or two is a miracle in itself.
All the same, your big team? c'mon neebur!

Just found out that my mate from Uni is friends with our young keeper Ryan Goodfellow. He's biased obviously but swears that he's a superb goalie.
EDIT- Also, have edited the OP to include the list of players out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

It's realistic though, can you remember the hype surrounding Murdoch and Paterson when they were coming through the ranks? one is now the sub keeper for Accrington Stanley and the other plays for Forfar, now if two players who had as much build up as that, have reached those heights I don't have much hopes for Goodfellow.
Edited to add:-Will be fucking delighted if I'm proved wrong though, I love it when players from the Dunfermline set up come good

I fully remember the hype surrounding Murdoch, one misjudgement later and he was ostracised.... Paterson was really unlucky with the timing of the leg break, had things worked out differently he could have been our no.1 now, he couldn't have been a bad keeper being a Scottish youth international but this is all hypothetical. I'm not going to give an opinion either way on the Goodfellow lad having not seen him but could he seriously be any worse than Smith ?
Also, expanding on the keepers thing I think it's only now I'm realising how spoiled we've been with good keepers that blunders made by them will most likely be magnified as at least in my lifetime we've had some great goalies, not including our current keepers these are the players(including loan keepers) I've seen between the sticks for The Pars, yes there's stinkers in there but the good far outweigh the bad:
Ian Westwater, Hugh Whyte, Tom Carson, Nicky Walker, Dave McKellar, Hans Segers, Andy Rhodes, Lindsay Hamilton, John Hillcoat, Jim Will, Jim McQueen, Guido Van de Kamp, Zoran Lemajic, Lee Butler, Kris Mampaey, Marco Ruitenbeek, Derek Stillie, Scott Y Thomson, Roddy McKenzie, Dorus de Vries, Sean Murdoch, Callum Reidford(for 40 minutes), Greg Fleming, Greg Paterson, Kyle Allison
God, I feel old

Greg Paterson was really, really unlucky, I do genuinely believe if he hadn't broke his leg he would be at the very least our number two this year.
Aye, Good luck in life.

Paterson should have been Gallacher's understudy this season.

Smith started with us as a decent keeper prone to the odd howler (as with most) although his kicking was always shite. A capable first division keeper or lower SPL understudy none the less. He's now a nervous wreck and a large section of our support take great pleasure in this. His saves don't count, his clearances are sarcasticly cheered and when he makes a mistake, however small, he's subject to a near public execution.
He's an average keeper currently playing in impossible circumstances. His time with us is done, he'll play only when we've no other option (playing a wee boy is not a solution) and then he'll end up in the 1st division with a club that's defence pass back to him only as a last resort. A support willing to offer him a fresh start will make a huge difference.

Yeah mate, I'm sure the Pars support just can't wait for Smith to drop a clanger. I nearly came in my pants last time he threw one in.

Oh STFU Poet, anybody with a set of eyes can see that Smith has his faults but due to him being a confidence keeper and with the utter c***s that sit in our support. I hope Smith leaves in the Summer, not because he is the worst Keeper we have, not by a long shot, but so that he can suceed at a club with a faithful fanbase and not a group of snarling morons with less braincells combined than a small Nematode. A nice GIRFUY gesture would be well deserved from him too imo, all the best
