East Linton had 4 players out with injury and 2 guys were cup tied for this game which made the result very pleasing.East Linton started brightly with the wind and scored through Bestford after a cut back from Jules. The second was scored by Jack Findlay after a nice 1 - 2 with Jules. This was the big mans first goal for EL,his second followed shortly after with a half volley from 12 yards.Fernieside had a good spell for the next 15 mins and played the better football in the strong wind.East Linton had keeper Pucko to thanks with 2 superb saves to stop Fenieside scoring before half time.EL did score a 4th just before half time when Bestford rounded the keeper and cut it back 4 Jules to head into empty net from 10 yards. The tie was all but ended when a fine solo goal from Jules made it 5-0.Fernieside did get one back with 20 mins left from a good free kick from their best player on the day.(think it was Rab).

Not a good game to play in and probably worse to watch due to the wind.

East Linton travel to Busby in Scottish cup next sat which will be a tough test indeed.
