SOUTH of SCOTLAND (ko's 2 pm unless stated)

South League Cup 2nd Round Wigtown v St Cuthbert Wanderers- Grudge match. Expecting a brutal game with a hostile atmosphere similar to an Istanbul derby. Saints looking for a victory here and Wigtown struggling for form this season. On paper it's all Saints, but paper doesn't win games.

Haig Gordon Cup 1st Round Newton Stewart v Creetown- Newton consistant as ever should see off a poor Creetown team who have had a very difficult start to the season.
Nithsdale Wanderers v Fleet Star- Nithsdale have had a good start to the season but have tailed off a little in the past weeks. Fleet will hope to capitalise on this and could spark off a cup run of their own.

South of Scotland League

Abbey Vale v Dalbeattie Star- Only one winner here i'm afraid. Dalbeattie can only make it hard for themselves by allowing Vale to press them high up the park but with one of the strongest central defences in the league and excellent goalscorers up front, they should leave New Abbey with 3pts.

Mid Annandale v Crichton- Mid Annandale have had a magic start to the season by their standards and will look to see off a very average Crichton team. Big game for the long ball and i'm sure it'll be used by both teams at all opportunities.

Stranraer v Heston Rovers- Excellent playing surface for two footballing sides. Heston will be looking to leapfrog Stranraer in the league with a victory over them and keep on fighting for 4th place. Stranraer will be no pushovers, especially at home, and will battle hard to ensure that Heston leave with nothing.

Opinions are always welcomed, please feel free to say what your thoughts are on the matches. Even if it is a  comment.
