So the small visiting support was targeted while the home support continued to sing their filth? Typical.

Dunfermline's support is being followed up and down the country by undercover Fife Police.

Sorry, was that question aimed at me? You should really consider using the quote function, saves confusion.

Considering it was a rearranged game on a cold and wet Wednesday night i would imagine that the vast majority of fans in attendance were Scots. Is it racist to sing to a Scot, in Scotland, 'You're in the wrong country'?

If you're leading to the famine song and pigeonholing all Celtic fans together i'd like to add i've never had a problem with that either,

No I wasn't going on to the famine song. I expect we'll find out for sure what this is about in due course but I suspect it's about "You're in the wrong f*cking country". I understand the argument but this would strike me as harsh. Nobody is seriously suggesting anyone leaves the country. They are mocking the other lot's flags, songs, etc.

What filth did the home support sing? You obviously know something, do share.

The same filth as they sing week in week out up and down the country. Scumbags.

I wish more police forces throughout the country would follow their lead! By all means have a go at the culprits but the club working side by side with the police are taking positive steps to eradicate this problem and should be praised for their efforts

You would probably find fans arrested from every club if that happened. It would appear only Dunfermline are being targeted though because of Fife Constabulary. I'm not suggesting that isn't correct, racism and sectarianism has no place in football, however other Police forces should be following the Fife Constabulary example and widening the set square they have laid down.

Drewbees has already posted clip/s from the game where the celtic support sing their songs without the add ons...Well if i am being honest i think that is what he posted as i didn't recognise the song and stopped listening after a minute

Yes your right, well done Dunfermline fc for having such an unsavoury support and shutting down stands where they dwell.

That is what i went on to say...We don't need new legislation we just need pro active policing like this to enforce the laws already set down.

I agree.

I wasn't at the game and so will not comment on the specifics of this, especially as it is in the hands of the police and courts, but racism and sectarianism have no place in society, never mind football, and if someone is caught making such comments, then they should pay the penalty. I do however think other forces should be more pro-active in tackling the problem.

For we're the Pars, Dunfermline Athletic,
And we'll go marching on.

Because they don't tolerate racism and are taking decisive action. We are the biggest club in Fife and fall under their jurisdiction, as I've stated other forces should be following their example. We have a minority of idiots in our support, as do many other clubs.

You would have to ask them, influence from the SNP possibly? Just being generally more pro-active in dealing with problems within Scottish society?

Although this reflects badly on the Pars, It's merely a result of Fife police being the only force in Scotland currently making an effort to enforce the laws put in place for this kind of thing. This 'joint venture' is no surprise as Strathclyde police have always been willing to clamp down hard on away fans whilst ignoring Those in the home ends at Ibrox and Parkhead, it's very much a "no-one knows what goes on behind closed doors" attitude. The difference is, at EEP, the police have endeavoured to take action against all comers, with arrests of this ilk being about even from both home and away ends.

Obviously, it means fans of other clubs will build and climb aboard the band wagon that paints the pars as a club of choice for the racists of this country. There will now be figures to back that up, but what it should be is an example to other police forces that simply saying that this behaviour is out of order is not enough; statements need to be followed up with action. Afterall, the quickest way to reduce crime figures in this country would be to disband the legal system altogether, but that's not going to solve any problems "on the street".

This calls for a candlelight vigil. Dunfermline, we are all here for you. Your club is being victimized by these criminals running the police and we will not stand for it. We are all DAFC.

Recent issues prior to a Dunfermline v Hearts meant British Transport Police were looking for up to 40 Hearts fans for similar stuff. Methinks you could be right.

Hey, wait a minute, I'm from the East Coast. :(

At least you admit you`re a Celtic fan now, rather than hiding behind the ridiculous Brechin City facade. ;)

It's a very small minority of people though, we don't have a huge racism problem. They target all supporters though, Hearts and Rangers fans have been arrested over alleged incidents at EEP for football related hate crimes.
