the people who tend to sing these silly songs you will find tend not to be religious

i personally have never been offended by anything i have heard at a football match, ive heard a couple of silly things, but nothing that would offend me (except paper roses)

I was being flippant, because his point is too inane. 'IRA songs and racism are the same thing because they are both unacceptable' is just ludicrous. 'Unacceptability' is entirely subjective and could cover anything from talking while Corrie is on, to attempting to annihilate the Jewish race. Racism and religious bigotry, on the other hand, would at least be comparable.
