East Linton made it into the third round of South cup after a comfortable win against a physical Terreglas side.East Linton had a few chances to take the lead early but never converted.Against the run of play Terreglas scored after 30 mins when Gareth Hughes scored a comical own goal after slide tackling keeper Pucko and knocking the ball into the corner of the goal.East Linton made it 1-1 just before halftime when Toshy scored from 12 yards.EL went ahead just after halftime when Bessy scrambled in from close range .Terreglas never looked like scoing after that and East Linton scored 4 more through Cymber,Bessy,Mc Killop and a good solo goal from Cowan.

Another good effort from all in front of cracking crowd.

Looking at draw there is some good ties. I think all the 3rd round matches will be close.

Apart from Gala v St Boswells. Dont fancy St Boswells chances but good luck to them anyway, they seem to have picked up a bit.

Kickingking we played Arniston yesterday and they are a pretty decent team. We could have taken it to extra time near the end but they should have scored a few more as we didnt play too well at beginning of first half. They are phyiscal and dont give up. fast on the wings and counter attack quick. hit them through the middle as thats where the were weakest. high balls into the corner and they struggled as full backs were slow.

I can see you guys winning by a few goals! good luck

You should beat them comfortably. Played them in the Scottish and any team in the 'A' Division would beat them.

They will be a tough test for Paul and his boys, they will be physical and are a decent team.

Think the top 3 teams in Borders league would beat them but rest would struggle.

There's a potential Pencaitland vs East Linton match up. Sure Pencaitland would have something to say about that...

We both have tough games in the next round, but if we did play the Favourites EL ,we know most of thier current squad, because 11 of them have played for Pencaitland over the last few years.

Would be an interesting fixture

Would be very interesting .Ex players

Pucko
Gray
Rollo
Hughes
Ingle
Craig
Anderson
Jackson
Cymber
Tosh
Bestford.

Certainly not favourites but on our day you never know.

Being honest id rather we never played Pencaitland if we progress but cross that bridge if it comes.

pencaitland v east linton would be a good game. the top border side against an east linton side who have signed a few decent players and seem to be doing well so far this season. if i was a betting man i would back pencaitland especially at home, the manager seems to have a got the players playing well this year and gave us a hammering when we played them. it would be a great battle , east linton would be to powerful for them as they have alot of strong boys but i think pencaitland would be alot sharper than east linton

Penc's main threat is they have pace all over the pitch and training has been brilliant and everyone is fit as ever! It would be a great match but lets wait and see what happens in the next rounds first.

Pencaitland seem to be doing well minus their manager who left to HRA. Even HRA won a game the other week !

Lawrence Dunn was never the pencaitland manager, he was just a player with the club, a player that didn't get his game every week but all the best to him at HRA
