Just heard our South cup match at Selkirk has been called off tonight. Has there been a lot of rain up that way? It's been dry here all week except for a wee shower last night. Does anyone know if the Selkirk first team match is still on?

Been damp all week plus the Vics were at home last week and a youth game on their park Sunday. Nothing sinister simply an overused pitch, too soft to roll.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

The pitch was in a pretty bad way during our game last week, and afterwards we knew that any rain would put our game off this week. There was youth football on the pitch prior to our game last week too.

First team game will be touch and go but as they haven't played on their pitch for a few weeks it could be ok.

We're in much the same position down here with sharing the school pitch. Its played on most days so never gets the chance to recover. Hopefully we'll be good to go next week then!

Wots the weather been like down the coldstream way? A notice the first 1st team are at home and from past years the other pitch doesn't hold much water!

The drainage on it and the rugby pitch has been knackered the last 3 or 4 years so we only play on it from April to October really. Shame because it was a great pitch for the first few years we were on it. A huge improvement on its predecessor “The Dump“. There's going to be a new primary school getting built on our current pitch so hopefully the council will get it fixed before building work starts.
