Fixtures courtesy of solwaypress.co.uk

SOUTH of SCOTLAND (ko 2pm unless stated)

POTTS Cup 1st round

Creetown v Nithsdale Wanderers- Creetown still screaming out for a win and with Nithsdale coming off the back of a 7-2 defeat, this could well be their chance.

Mid Annandale v Fleet Star- Both teams had cracking matches last week, Mids bagging a late winner in a 4-3 belter and Fleet coming so close to causing the biggest upset of the year against Saints. Should be a good match but i think Fleet will find it hard to score against Mids at that pitch and can see Mids coming away with the victory.

CREE LODGE CUP 1st Round

Crichton v Heston Rovers- Nice wee local derby to enjoy down at the Crichton. Heston, having already beaten the Crichton twice this season will be looking ot make it 3 out of 3 and progress to the next round. Crichton won't go down without a fight and have plenty of goals in their armoury. Should be a belter of a match and wouldn't be surprised to see Heston coming out with victory once again.

2nd Round

Dalbeattie Star v Wigtown- After Dalbeattie's destruction of Creetown last week they'll be looking for the train to keep on rolling and beat Wigtown who were narrowly beaten by Mids last week. Wigtown will battle hard but it's hard to see past Dalbeattie on their current form.

HAIG GORDON CUP 2nd Round

Threave Rovers v Stranraer (3pm) Threave at home are a tough nut to crack but Stranraer are more than able to be the ones to crack it. After a week off for both teams last week they will be fresh and looking to get back in to the swing of things with a victory. Like the match above, however, it's hard to see past the home side.

SOUTH of SCOTLAND LEAGUE

St Cuthbert Wanderers v Newton Stewart- Only league match on the fixture list this week and it could be a cracker. Saints at home will be excellent but take nothing away from the Newton boys who will be looking to add to the 7 goals scored last week and close the gap on 3rd places Saints.

As always, comments and opinions are welcomed and valued. Look forward to hearing what you all think and feel free to give your predictions as well ;)
