Never played(retired many moons ago) when Derek Stocks was refereeing but now as a manager have had him at our games on numerous occassions and can honestly say i have always thought of him as a competent referee. Anyway my point here is to let the people who follow P&B know that Derek is now secretary of Stranraer & District Amateur Football League and doing an excellent job.Not only is he giving a lot of time but is responsible for finding a league sponsor, setting up and running a website (www.sdafl.co.uk) and as we had 2 teams pull out of the league he has had to make up the full seasons fixtures 3 times.So that man some of you like to knock is doing a damn site more for the game than most. Well done Derek.
