Current Manager of the year John McGlynn is under a bit of pressure.
So who holds the record for going from manager of the year to the dole queue ?
Here for a year, we're only here for a fourth year !!

Jocky Scott? :(

Taking us up to the SPL, suddenly sacked, finds himself looking likely to have completed back to back relegations from the First now.

Not quite, but John Barnes went from Manager of the Month at Celtic to the dole in 2 months.

Was he also manager of the year when Ipswich finished 4th in the EPL ? Relegated a year later then he lost his job a couple of months into the following season.

Rowan Alexander certainly a candidate for manager most feted by the media followed by oblivion!

Was Csaba Laszlo not Manager of the Year? Then sacked 6 months later?

Laszlo was indeed SFWA Manager of the Year in 2008/09, and was sacked the following January.

Alex Totten won the same award as St Johnstone manager in 1991/92, and was sacked before the end of the following season (not sure of the exact date).

There are also a few SPL managers who have won manager of the month and then been sacked in the same season since 2005 (I haven't checked SFL).

George Burley (August & September 2005) was sacked on 22nd October.
Maurice Malpas (February 2007) was sacked on 1st June.
John Collins (September 2008) was sacked on 20th December.
Tony Mowbray (August 2009) was sacked on 25th March.
Jim Gannon (October 2009) and was sacked on 28th December.

Pretty certain it was 1990/91 that Totten won the award, our first season back in the Premier Division when we beat Aberdeen 5-0 etc...

He was then sacked in December 1992 and replaced by John McClelland.
Fascists against Beatson.

John Collins (September 2008) was sacked on 20th December.

Collins wasn't sacked, he resigned and it was a big surprise at the time and not at all pushed by the club, although he had survived a rocky dispute with players earlier in his tenure. And it was in 2007, not 2008.
