It shows with the crowds at games.
Over 1000 attended Forres Mechanics game on Saturday, no game in the South will attract half that amount.

Whats your point?

Nobody claimed a south game would.

My point is the massive decline in interest in the South in the last 20 years.

I couldn't comment on that, as i've only been around the south for 6/7 years. I've not seen such a big decline in that timeframe with regards to attendances.. There's been less interest on on this specific website but that's because of the emergence of twitter/facebook etc.

I appreciate that it's a big local derby so is always going to get a few more folk out but there seemed a decent turnout for Saints v Threave tonight.

I didn't stay for long mind you - got there with 20 minutes left due to work commitments and Threave were 6-1 up so went home when they made it seven as the rain had started

What's the reasons behind that? Rest of the site is busier than ever, apparently, Junior + EOS sections particularly, and even the Amateur forum is fairly busy (particularly with the Border Amateur stuff) despite a seperate Scottish Amateurs forum existing. Highland League section is dead but that's due to FitbaNorth.com. These sub-forums haven't been affected.

None, apart from a few club pages.

What I mean is, if people want a discussion about a south game, referee performance or anything regarding the league they simply have to post it on facebook or twitter and they'll the conversation/bites they're looking for almost isntantly.

The lack of concise and reasoned debate doesn't help. There are a lot of opinions but most of them are negative and some descend into petty and unnecessary attacks, some veiled and some less so. It's churlish and childish and why anyone with a modicum of sense would engage in any conversation is beyond me.

Was anyone at the game for the full amount of time who posts on here? 7-1 seems like an odd score considering they are the biggest teams in the league (minus Dalbeattie)

The Highland League is far superior to the South and the East combined, and has plenty of followers, yet the forum is as empty as [insert poor team in the region]'s trophy cabinet!

Everyone there uses P&B's rival, FitbaNorth.com.
