I hope to make it along to the Irish game next Sunday. Terrific result on Friday night against Metro; it's difficult not to look back on and rue that late bonus point Cardiff picked up at Murrayfield now that's taken their destiny slightly out of Edinburgh's hands in terms of the group win.

Having just checked, if Edinburgh do manage to win on Sunday, they'd qualify as one of two best runners up. Only Harlequins and Clermont are within a point of their total, but with Clermont meeting Ulster (top two) in Pool 4, any sort of win will do.

exatly that, and we absolutely battered them in the first half, were we not 20-0 or somethin up at HT? (was there but was already pished Posted Image) we just didn't turn up in the second half at all, but in cardiff defence, they walloped us in cardiff, similar to ulster last week

Just to say a massive Good luck to Edinburgh today, Would be fantastic to see a Scottish team in the Quarters for the first time in ages!

Strongly suggest that if u can and you like rugby to go down to murrayfield for what will definitely be a great game!

Edinburgh have won with a bonus point and with Cardif not getting one thayt are at home in the quaters. Had the game on the radio and wished i was able to make it.

Watched Cardiff on TV. Was screaming at screen - had the weird situation where neither team wanted to kick the ball into touch at 80 minutes as Cardiff wanted a 4th try and Racing wanted a try to get the win.

That was terrific stuff yesterday, congrats Edinburgh. Very impressive opening 15 minutes to the second half defensively when Irish were piling on all sorts of pressure, and the two quick tries at the end were superb :D

Still think the earlier 'try' disallowed wasn't a forward pass but who gives a damn about that now. There was a boy behind me keeping us updated with Cardiff's progress and even the Irish supporter sitting next to me was getting in on the act. We knew Edinburgh had gone top when the fourth try was scored and rushed out to see the last minute or two of the Blues match - tense isn't the word. Toulouse will be an absolute treat.

T'was a decent enough game and a good result, glad I went for £15 rather than give £22 to Ibrox administrators.

However I thought both teams were actually fairly poor and made numerous silly errors in all honesty looking back. I was very surprised at Toulouse not making more when Edinburgh had 13 men, and despite the protest of the folk around me I thought all the cards were right today, although I didn't have a great view of the second. Edinburgh were the better in the second half and edged it for me on that score.

Great result however is all that matters in the end and I'll not forget the overexcited celebration of the 60 year old man in front of me for a while - he was like a 6 year old on Christmas morning after the penalty went over in the 80th min, bunnet off in celebration and even his family were laughing at him. Great for our game to have Edinburgh doing well in the Heineken and Glasgow in the Rabo. Now national team......Posted Image

Immense result on Saturday, absolutely superb. Was much more interested in the goings on at Murrayfield than at Ibrox. Fantastic stuff from Edinburgh. And a crowd just short of 38,000 is quite amazing. Roll on Dublin. :)

Got my tickets. Was the seat map on the edinburghrugby site jiggered for everyone else too?

Flying into Belfast and gfs dad (Belfaster) is driving down. Saw quite a few kilts on Belfast flight when flew over weekend of Ireland-Scotland so a viable alternative if Dublin flights are getting silly.
