It's a Tuesday. So a night kick off.

The croatia game in June is a 9pm kick-off (TBC) according to Scottish FA Facebook.

Pretty pleased with those fixtures on first reading although it puts a lot of pressure on the first 3 games, which we should be looking for a minimum of 6 points from.

If we are looking to qualify we should have six points after the first double header.

We need to take nine points from the first three games.

Finishing qualifying on a cold, windy and wet October night is reminiscent of beating the Czechs in 73 :D

Every game is a belter, I think this could go down to the wire again.

Will the Wales game will be definitely in the Millennium Stadium? I really hope so, reckon we could take tens of thousands down.

Wales at home on my birthday and I can't even get excited. f**k's sake. Macedonia in the heat will be the must-win game that we'll f**k up this time, leading to another impossible mission at home to the top seeds on the last matchday. The fucking wrestling is less scripted than this shite.

Was just going to post this, 9 points from the first 4 games would be a good return. We'll end up with 2 no doubt.

If we win our first two games I could see us taking 5-10k to Wales providing it's at the Millenium Stadium.

If Wales' good run continues and they win their first two qualifiers i'd say there's a small chance of it getting played at the Millenium. I'd expect it to be at Cardiff's though.

They have to name the venue 60 days before though so they won't know how the games in September have went by that stage. I'd expect Cardiff City too.

BBC - Sep 2009

"The Welsh FA's proposal is to continue hosting the big qualifiers - such as Germany, Italy and England - at the Millennium Stadium."

I suppose it depends whether the game against us is considered "big". I'd think it would be, given the sort of crowd we'd be likely to take.

I wouldn't go that far, but we definitely need to be on 8 points as a minimum after 4 games.

The first two are must-win, and then we can either afford two draws or one win and one defeat from the aways.

I'd prefer Liberty to Cdiff's stadium, but then I follow the Jacks and hate the scum

I'll be interested to see if the Croats do actually come-through on their promise to play the June game at 9pm.

I'm also somewhat surprised Strathclyde Police accepted us playing Wales at home on a Friday night, but equally, it's hardly a powder-keg.

That aside it's a fairly decent set. We need to take at least 7pts and ideally 9pts from the opening 3 games, which is a big ask; as one could as easily forsee us taking 3pts or 4pts. Having only 1 game on the last double-header is useful, as we can prepare fully for it, and I personally favoured getting the top seeds at home as the last tie. Beyond that, you can only expect something "reasonable" or "OK" from any negotiation, and I think our fixtures are both.

One thing interests me.

All the Home Nations were looking to avoid June games, in order to play the FA 150th Anniversary tournament on the June qualifier dates - England kept them free, Wales kept them free, and reading the post-negotiation quotes we had to accept the June game in Croatia right at the last... it was the final tie not "pinned-down" and rejigging of 10th September 2013 and 11th October 2013 was rejected.

It'll be interesting to see what consequences this has on the Anniversary tournament.

Lets all get negative before a ball has been kicked WOOOOO!!!!

Was a good outcome, Croatia will be at night so will suit us weather-wise with most of our home games being during miserable cold rainy weather for all the twinkle toe superstars that will love the physical battering by us :D

Bring it on!
