Managers Leaving Clubs

The last few weeks have seen a lot of focus on Alex Fergusons 25 years at Manchester United.

I think that since then every manager we've had has been sacked or left by "mutual consent" before their contracts were up. I'm trying to work out if there are any clubs in Scotland that can beat that record.

According to my basic research so far in the SPL the following clubs last manager to leave for another club or their contract expired is as follows.

Celtic - Martin O' Neil 2005
Dundee Utd - Craig Levein 2009
Dunfermline - Jimmy Calderwood 2004
Hearts - Craig Levein 2004
Hibs - Tony Mowbray 2006
Inverness - Craig Brewster 2006
Kilmarnock - Mixu Paatelainen 2011
Motherwell - Craig Brown 2010
Rangers - Walter Smith 2011
St Johnstone - Derek McInnes 2011

I'm not sure about St Mirren, looks like they might have a similar kind of record to us. Any corrections or anyone able to expand the list would be most welcome.

Christie wasn't sacked or expired. Managerial life was too stressful. He stood down
the only county i'd follow is NAIRN
