Played at Ravenswood against Broadwood Clyde a few times, some barriers still there and remnants of dugouts.

gav 67 think i watched the first game at beith your talking about was that the game beith went 2 up and the gow keeper got sent off for a shumacher tackle at the half way line
I remember the Beith guys were 2-0 up and flinging bottles at Jack Steele when he got sent off. Did Brian Egan take over in goals? At the 3rd gamesome of the Beith "supporters" spent the whole match going round the park & trying to goad anybody else into a fight.
Form is temporary - class is permanent.

Cumbernauld United's first ground was called Ravenswood - same one?
Cumbernauld United played at what was then St Particks sportsfield in Kilsyth for about half a season while Ravenswood was being made ready. Still there and much improved with full size grass pitch and 3G pitch with proper floodlights. It is now known as Kilsyth Community sportsfield and while not strictly an ex-junior ground it does stand on the site of the prewar grounds of Kilsyth Rangers (Garrell Vale) and Kilsyth Emmet (also a junior club up till 1939) so I suppose it qualifies on these grounds.

One that I think fits most of the criteria, would be Balgownie Juniors in Aberdeen, who later became St Machar and then Inverurie Juniors before folding in 1999. Think they played at an Aberdeen University facility in Bridge of Don called Balgownie that I think is still there and not in use by a junior team. Colony Park now play on the ground that Inverurie Juniors used though.

Further photos here on Muirkirk' old ground a mile outside the village which was know as Ladeside Park. It had a stand along the south side the remnants of which and the dressing room remain. The stand was not built for comfort but suvival. Great ground with superb atmosphere generated by fans who faithfully supported a team wchich had ever won anything.

Muirkirk moved to their present park in 1986, but I'm unsure whether the moved straight from Ladeside Park or groundshared until it ws ready. If you travel down to Cumnock then on the left you will see Cronberry. You can still make out Mortonmuir Park home of the Cronberry Eglington, and Junior club of Bill Shankly.
