Hello, I decided to downgrade (upgrade actually) my old Vista laptop to Windows XP, where it runs much smoother, etc...

However...

I cannot connect to the internet. There is no wireless option at all. It's an advent 8212 laptop which is very basic, but if it's drivers I need, I can't find any for advent.

I'm screwed, right? :(

Edit: What I mean is, there is no wireless connection option if that makes sense. There's nothing wireless on the system.

Have you tried the switch on the front, next to the microphone socket?

Did it connect before you "upgraded it"?

Why didn't you go for Windows 7?
