Like the look of a lot of the new & improved Android 4.0 features and the UI refresh, especially the ease in which you can switch between applications and close down the ones you don't need. Hopefully will run like lightning too.

Face Unlock looks a bit sh*t though!

One thing I'm not too keen on with the Galaxy Prime is the lack of SD slot. Otherwise, I want one!

I've just got myself a Galaxy S2, I like it. But this news annoys me now! I guess new things will always get released though no matter when you buy something. Plus I got the Galaxy S2 for £19.50 a month, which is good I guess.

These things will happen, you're right. This phone, though, has been in the rumour mill for a long time now and was due to be announced the week Steve Jobs died, but Samsung/Google put the announcement back. So its not as if its a total surprise to anyone

Console yourself with the fact that you got a great phone at a fantastic price :thumsup2

Certainly is- £19.50 for the S2, is that with a whack on top as I've not seen it as cheap anywhere.

Should be interesting to see what the HTCs and such of the world churn out as these phones are just demos for Google really that are also sold.

Yeah, Phones4U have announced their prices. Free phone for £46 a month or £30 up front and £41 a month.

Wouldnt expect the other networks to be much cheaper. Im due an upgrade, on 3, next March/April so, hopefully, prices might have dropped a little by then

That is expensive. Not be going for that. My contract is up yesterday so waiting in a queue on T-Mobile to give me the 6 million once in a lifetime offers before I can get my PAC code. Joy Posted Image

Seems like way too much money for not much better a phone than the likes of a Galaxy S2.

It'd maybe more worth it if things like NFC payments were more widespread than they are at the moment. The mobile payments thing looks really quite good, pity at the moment no banks support it and the only shop it seems you can use it in is Greggs. :P

Why? I thought it was going to have a 1.5Ghz processor, but its the same as the S2. It has NFC, which is currently a bit useless, it has a worse camera than the S2, and the S2 is getting android 4 soon anyway!

It is quite expensive... £520 sim free I read somewhere.

I'm sure the price will come down - probably when Android 4.0 starts rolling out on other handsets. Ultimately, I think it's the software rather than the hardware which is the most impressive. A Nexus S with Android 4 won't be far off being as good as Galaxy Nexus, I'd guess.

Will be interesting what HTC do. My first Android was an HTC and I loved Sense. Now though, with the improvements to the Android UI it just doesn't quite seem as necessary. More different than better.

They've not set a date, but it's likely to be a few weeks after the nexus is out.

Well, it should be £26 but since I work for a local authority those kind people at Orange gave me a 25% discount :)

200 mins, unlimited texts, 750 mb mobile internet and unlimited bt openzone wifi, not sure if that is any good but Laura in the shop told me it was.

Worth it for the bigger, and much better screen, though.

I dont think its "the same" processor and the graphics capabilities will be much better too.

Quite incredible that, when we are talking about new phones, we compare them on their graphics abilities!

 True!

Maybe its slightly different for me. I have a 5" screen at the moment and I love it. Everything is so much easier with a bigger screen and I dont think I could ever go back to the 3.5" type sizes that were common, up till now.

I'd like to see them side by side, but I think there would be a noticeable difference between 4.3 (S2) and 4.6 (Nexus) and, to me, it would be worth the extra for that slightly bigger screen.

You may have mentioned it in passing :P

My phone is simply ahead of its time though. All the major manufacturers are now releasing phones with 4"+ screens. I would be amazed if the iPhone5 doesnt too.

Compared to these 4"+ models, my phone isnt actually that big

Dell Streak
5" screen
152.9 x 79.1 x 10 mm
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
4.6" screen
135.5 x 67.9 x 8.9 mm
HTC Sensation XL
4.7" screen
132.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm
Samsung Galaxy Note
5.3" screen
146.9 x 83 x 9.7 mm

You can all sleep soundly in your beds tonight, knowing all that

Im actually tempted by the Galaxy Note, rather than the Nexus
