what about Barry Ferguson and Russell Anderson? I'm quite confident both made over 300 apps but maybe not in the SPL

Ferguson made 274 in the SPL.

Russell Anderson made 280 appearances in the league in total for Aberdeen. 240 of those were in the SPL.

I checked Crawford when I was compiling the list, and he didn't have enough. Think he was around 200ish.

Gary Smith made 196 in the SPL by the looks of things. He certainly seems to have made over 350 top flight appearances though.

The Google comment was aimed at "nessies long lost ghost" because he always Googles the answers to quizzes on the site.

EDIT: Neilson and Dods are both below 300.

Is Andy Tod not over/close to 300 SPL games for us, and his loan spells at Hearts and Dundee United ?

151 SPL appearances.

428 appearances in Scottish football, but many of those were in the old Premier Division, or in the lower leagues.

Forgot that a lot would have been in the old Premier Division

How many of Hugh Murray's many appearances for St Mirren were in the SPL?

Stephen Craigan must be well over 300 apperances in the SPL, seems like he's been with the 'Well forever. He also played one season in the SPL with Plastic Whistle.

Taking it a little off-track here but who's had the most SPL appearances as a manager? Jim Jeffries I'd imagine, although Neil Lennon could also be a shout if you take in his spell as a player as well?

One of the 7 mentioned in the O.P., at 335, but it'll be a few more than that now.
