IRL RIP Dan Wheldon.

There has been a 15 car pile up in Las Vegas, involving Power, which all but guarantees Dario the title. However Dan Wheldon is apparently seriously injured and they covered the car with a tarpaulin which is never good. Hope everyone is okay.

It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. Just watched the crash - jesus feckin h christ thats a bad un.

The car flying through the air is horrifying.

Paul Tracy, who was involved in the wreck, said a team of doctors were working on Wheldon, but there was no word of his injuries. A helicopter lifted off from the speedway, but there was no indication if Wheldon was onboard.

Pippa Mann also appeared to be shaky as she was helped to an ambulance.

The wreck coming out of Turn 2 on the 12th lap left Townsend Bell upside down, smoldering cars strewn all over the track and debris nearly halfway up the straightaway of the 1.5-mile oval.

ESPN confiriming that Wheldon was in air ambulance and that his family have gone to the hospital.

2 other drivers have been taken to hospital.

Was looking at Dan's car and the roll hoop isn't there, that could have been removed to ease getting him out but unlikely. If the crash has broken the roll hoop then i fear the worst. Posted Image

Apparently Wheldon won the race the last time someone died, which was Paul Dana.

Terrible accident and the people retweeting Ashley Judd are sick, frankly.

I remember Greg Moore's accident which was horrific at the final race in California. I think they should call this race surely?

Dana died in a practice crash - I cant think of a race fatality since Greg Moore.

Greg Moore's accident was just horrific, but last one at the race. Tony Renna died in a test from an online check.

Rumours are flying at present but doesn't look good.
