Aiden Mcgeady was born in Scotland, brought up in Scotland and decided to play for ROI. I'm sure if you asked him, he'd say he was Scottish but opted to play for ROI

Actually, he wouldn't. There's a YouTube clip of some Celtic DVD where him and his Ol' Da' were interviewed and he makes it clear that he regards himself as Irish. Yes, the audience has to be considered, but he's a true believer.

26 league goals already for the season. What a prospect.

Just back form football and catch his goal, ozzes confidence at the moment. Pleased for him.
No more Gary Caldwell in the Scotland team.

That's a bit unfair - it was Levein who brought Rhodes into the squad and fast-tracked him to a cap.

Iwelumo's time has come and gone. I hoped the big guy would redeem himself for that miss by bagging a few goals for us in these last few years, but it was not to be. He's 33 now and has scored 1 goal all season for Watford.

Rhodes is the future. 8)

Agree. Levien out now! Can't keep him with his dull tactics, petty arguments and stuborness. His argument with Fletcher icing on cake. Should have been banned from football for life for the crime of playing no strikers in a match.
No more Gary Caldwell in the Scotland team.

Nationality isn't an always an either/or issue. I was born in Scotland, lived in Scotland all my life and all my parents/grandparents were born in Scotland/lived in Scotland. There are non-Scots once you go beyond that but I'm clearly Scottish and can't really "claim" any other nationality.

Someone like Jordan Rhodes can clearly identify as Scottish or English or Scottish and English, to any degree he feels like.

Lee Clark was sacked last night. A bit harsh I reckon, considering they were not long off a 43 game unbeaten run and were well within touching distance of promotion:

Hope this doesn't balls up Rhodes' season in any way(e.g. "the new manager came in and we never saw eye to eye yaddayadda ...")

Going by some of the HTFC fans' comments, I've got a horrible feeling Rhodes development may be damaged by Clrak's sacking...

Why? Rhodes will only be there til the end of the season anyway.
Little brown boy, the other side of the world....
He was born on a line many thousand year long, many more thousand to be
They survived on tradition, not wealth and position
Sounds pretty simple to me....

Another hatrick tonight. The first will go down as an OG though, which is a shame really as the ball was going in anyway had the defender not tried to clear it.
