Can anyone catch Buckie Thistle?

Highlandleague.net report this morning says they have opened up daylight at the top of the league.....ok it is only 2 points but will that grow over the season?

Still a couple of games to play today so a few teams could hit the 13 mark along with Forres, but will anyone be able to keep up with Buckie?

Much as I'd love Forres to do it, I cannot see that myself - especially after our "get out of jail" game against Lossie last night!

Buckie are off to a good start, but really it's far to early to present them with the league title.

Of course it is too early, I just think they will be too strong. I do hope a few teams keep up with them and give them a run for their money

I think your are a bit premature with this thread, if it were after christmas then i could see your point. Buckie have Turriff away next who have just found a bit of form and Nairn County at home who looking very strong and have been one of Buckie's bogey teams for years.

You cant rule out Cove, Deveronvale,Keith, Formartine either, wasnt Deveronvale 4th or 5th bottom for a good spell last season and took it to the final match of the season.

Probably not. Seeing as they are the best team in the league.
And what?

Buckie haven't added to their squad where as almost every one else has. Also Buckie have had to pull in their financial belt. So, who knows what might happen?

Do you think your team could be in with a shout this year?

When Pele gets Formartine going they will challenge strongly. It just depends on how long he takes.

I live in Buckie so I can but I don't want to. I do have a friend who goes to matches all the time and records them though

It was one of the better games between the sides at Muppet Park, certainly. Can't believe Lossie didn't score though.

It was a good game, and I don't know how Forres got out of it with 3 points!! You could quite rightly say "we wiz robbed!"

They must have been saving to buy Mark Chisholm from Deveronvale for a five figure sum.
