Another good performance for UCF beating Boston College 30-3. Florida International next weekend which hopefully shouldn't pose much of a threat, but the first real test comes with a visit to Provo (yes that's really the name of the town), Utah to face BYU.

Bad few days for you then my friend
I still have LSU to carry me through.
Saints v Bears - could be another tough game, but at least its at home, and earlier in the day.
Notre Dame v Michigan State - another tough game, but if they lose this one, I would have expected it.

notre dame don't exactly do their record much good with their schedules. seemingly attractive match ups, and they may generate lots of money, but they really serve no purpose for the team if they can't win any of them.

He should be okay for the next few games. I think honest fans saw 8-3, 7-4 as realistic chances.
Schedule - always tough, especially for an independent if you want to win a national title.

yeah i'm officially sick of them. the first few seasons i suppose they had a valid argument at being included in the national title picture, however now i just feel like they are scared of actually facing a top conference and proving that they are a bcs team over the full course of a season. moving from the wac to the mountain west isn't much of a step up, especially with tcu moving to the big east next year.

LSU with a nice win over Miss State, Jarrett Lee is looking pretty good, and the defense looks fantastic.

shame fsu lost, but in reality i never saw them having much of a chance at the national title. overrated in the pre season poll. was an absolutely fantastic weekend regardless. classic college football stuff. parties/concerts in the city the nights before, college gameday saturday morning, hours of tailgating, and an incredible atmosphere in the stadium. good amount of ou fans in tallahassee as well. i only feel bad for the people who have to clean the streets of the drinks containers for the next few days.

this is why college football winds me up so much. At the start of last week Auburn were still being talked up a bit for their 18(?) game winning streak. They lose to a good Clemson team and boom, they’re out of the picture altogether. Still, good round of games last week with Auburn/Clemson being excellent and Sooners/FSU as well. I’m not sure why the Boise bashing is going on? They are pretty consistent against non-conference teams and good against conference teams, they can’t just up and leave (although maybe they can if the Big East changes go through and other conferences shuffle to deal with that).

but they did up and leave. they left for an almost equally shit conference. the pac 10 would have been ideal.
somewhat happy to see ucf lose. only so the rest of florida doesn't have to listen to orlando claiming to have, "the best team in florida", like last season.
