SCOTTISH CUP 1SR ROUND DRAW (Ties taking place the wkend of the 24th sept)

Huntly v NEWTON STEWART
DALBEATTIE STAR v Inverurie Loco Works
ST CUTHBERT WANDERERS v Kieth
WIGTOWN & BLADNOCH v Preston Athletic

Fairly pleased with the cup draw for ma home town the wigtown, been struggling a bit so far this year but starting to play a bit better football of late, Preston probaly slight favorites but a home tie against a east 1st division is as good a chance you will get of progressing...........newton, saints and dalbettie supporters what do you make about your respective opponents??? Use 3 al have very good highland league teams but a very unfavourable away draw for newton, hopefully all teams do the SOSFL proud in their matches

You should be working instead of posting on here. Agree think the "County Town" has best draw, seems Newton could book next years hotel up North getting to be a regular trip up there.

Can see Wigtown beating Preston, Newton will get gubbed, saints hopefully a draw and star game could go either way. Hoping for a star win

Watched the Saints game on Saturday and thought over 90 minutes they were unlucky to go out. It appeared to me that they showed Keith too much respect in the first half and although they hit the woodwork they didn't cause too many problems. But whatever Jazza said to them at half time made a difference, they played at a higher tempo and on another day could have scored a couple of goals. The one thing that I did think was missing was a midfielder willing to get into the box. Ruddy linked up well with his midfield, put a few good balls out to young McClymont who swung in a few good crosses but there wasn't anyone in the box. The Keith keeper flapped at a few and with a midfielder taking a chance Saints may have capitalised.

Heard an interesting rumour today that a south manager had a little bet on his team losiing on Saturday and made a healthy little profit. If that's true then it is disgraceful, in all my years of playing I never once went onto a pitch thinking I couldn't win the game and certainly wouldn't have bet against my team.

Also congratulations to Wigtown, good luck to them and Threave in round 2.

I think it could also get them into an awful lot of trouble, if true.
