What a rediculous comment, he took pain killers, it's not hard to play after a few painkillers, its just a dull throbing pain, I know I've done it with a back injury, and of course it made a difference, his serve dropped by 20 mph and he wasn't hitting the ball as hard. He will have made it worse, but for the next couple of hours he will fell better than he did. Posted Image

what kind of painkillers work within ten minutes?

he was at it the same as rafa fucked over JMDP at wimbledon.

Disgraceful.

Too true. She should have had a sizeable chunk of prize money taken off her for that. In relative terms a couple of grand isn't even a slap on the wrist.
The Div and Ric 'Virgil' Vigil. Never forget the laughter.

they were both in amazing shape at the beginning. rafa looked gubbed in the last 3 or 4 games.

they wore each other down with 4 hours of playstation tennis. it was an epic.

 Clearly not a tennis player, they were not in amazing shape at all, they just gave their opponent a false impression, they wil have both been carrying various aches and pains which all accumulate throughout the tournament. Nadal in particular can't have been more than 70% rested, hes played a lot of matches in the last week. Surew they wore tehmselves down, but I don't doubt if they had both been fullly fit and in top condition, that level of tennis could have continued for 5 full sets, as it was by the start of the 4th, the standard dropped due to fatigue, since neither were fully fit.

Just calling it from previous experiances, but feel free to debate it, however I need sleep, so good night.

Last comment, it wasn't the pills it was the massage and gel the trainer used, it loosens the muscles up and allows movement, restricted movement was what was causing him the trouble. Oh and the painkillers do take affect quickly, they need to in sports like tennis, otherwise they'd be pointless.

he broke in the very next game. i've never heard of painkillers that work so quickly.

incredible performance from djokovic. winning 51% of points on nadal's serve is unheard of.

Nole is just ridiculous these days. Defence is astonishing. Doubt any player has ever reached the levels Nole has since winning the Davis Cup with Serbia at the back end of 2010. If he keeps this up its hard to see anyone other than him winning all four slams next year. Incredible stuff.

Yeah, just can't see that though. He is bound to drop down from this level next season... been brilliant to watch though.

This your mate then :P

He is scarily good at the moment tho. defence is almost like attack with how he sends the ball back. Good for the game imo

Djokovic has been obscenely good all season, absolutely brilliant stuff at times. The final last night was a great game, really enjoyed it, Nadal forced Djokovic to reach some level of play again. Brilliant, especially as Federer now looks like he won't hit the heights he used to. But Djokovic will force the rest of them to hit new heights which must be good for the game really. I can't beleive the difference in Djokovics game this season, fantastic stuff from him.

Does anyone know how many times Djokovic broke Nadal's serve yesterday?

I am just curious as i have never seen a player take 50% of Nadal's points on serve

Thanks in advance Posted Image

I think Nadal is still the man to beat on clay. Djokovic has had a terrific year.
