What an unbelievable trip. You knew it was going to special from the moment you stepped off the train in Kings Cross and the Hearts song is echoing throughout the station! The amount of Hearts fans around the station itself was fantastic and I don't think the locals knew what was going on. Then there was the tube to Liverpool Street, there wasn't many of us on it, but one man had to ask where we were from and that "we were quite noisy!". I will never ever forget getting off the train at Liverpool street and hearing the Hearts fans. The noise was incredible and the sea of maroon that greeted us at the top was nothing short of spectacular. I'll also echo the praise of the London police, they were superb and just let the Hearts fans have a party. I actually only saw 3 or 4 at Liverpool street which would be unthinkable at a Rangers or Celtic game there. One of the highlights of the whole trip has to be the look of disbelief on the faces of the Londoners as they walked past, and those in the office blocks around us just watching us from their windows! There were a few remarks of how great the noise and numbers were despite the scoreline. Then there was the train from Liverpool Street to WHL, which actually bounced on the tracks at points! That was all just a warm up for what happened in the stadium. I actually thought that the atmosphere couldn't possibly be topped, oh how wrong was I! The noise that we created was magnificent and for it to carry on for the whole 90 minutes was fantastic. Personal highlight in the stadium for me was, "Harry gies a wave!", shortly followed by a wave from Harry Redknapp thus sending the Hearts fans into a chorus into "Harry Red's a Jambo!" which earned a clap from Redknapp himself. The amount of songs we sang was also very good, a wide range and balancing it quite nicely between Hearts and anti-Hibs songs! A special mention for Spurs fans though who at the end of the match turned and clapped our support which was very nice to see. Might even keep an eye out for their scores from now on!
Our team and support did Scotland proud last night, and hardly a mention of it in the paper, didn't really expect any less but it would have been nice to see a few plaudits. I can honestly say I have never been prouder to be a Hearts fan, and when Dave Mackay came onto the pitch and the Hearts fans sang "There's only one Dave Mackay" it sent shivers down my spine!
Thank you Hearts, I will never forget the day we took over London.
Tottenham Hotspur v Heart of Midlothian. We're going to score 6 in London...

Was it you and Jambo Rocker that I met mate? I was a bit nuggets but remember speaking to two guys who knew who I was (which is a bit scary)
My liver has the white flag out, I'm off to a 40th tonight and then out again at noon tomorrow for the derby, am still fecked from London!

For the next decade I was driven by desire to crush Hibs at EVERY opportunity.
It didn’t matter if I scored for the reserves or first team — every goal against them gave me immense satisfaction.

it was vlad is the man and myself mate. I was the one in checkered shirt, I think we were the only two hearts fans that weren't wearing a hearts shirt on the day. Don't remember having much of a conversation myself as having f**k all to eat all day hadn't helped my cause. My voice is still sore from the game and the train journey back didn't help hangover!
Looking to get up reasonably early to catch the spurs/city again so I ll probably be fairly snozzled again!

Oh, but we were having a party mate, the mother of all parties in fact, oooooft!!
(not had a party like that since we gubbed your lot 4-0 at Hampden)
I'm absolutely sure you did, and if the roles were reversed I would've had an almighty sesh even if we were 5-0 down.
The point is songs like "The Hearts are having a party, the Hibs are in their beds" and "are you watching Hibee scum" are alright when reserved for occasions when your team is achieving something. I was just laughing at those chants, it was almost a bit awkward to listen to to. Might sing "The Hibs are having a party" in The Roseburn tommorow.
Seriously though glad you had a good trip, I couldn't make Maribor so I'm determined to go on our next one. Probably going to be just before my 45th birthday though.

Let's be honest though. Hibs would do the exact same. And I guarantee there was many, many Hibs fans jealous and full of envy seeing the Hearts end rocking like it was on Thursday and disappointed we didn't get another hammering but instead gave Spurs a much better game (both sides were playing youngsters, not just Spurs, and the team they had out would still probably win the SPL) as well as regaining a huge chunk of pride after last weeks result.
Also why were Hibs fans singing "Oh what can it mean to a sad jambo b*****d and a shite football team" last season then whilst we were coasting in 3rd and Hibs for the most part were relegation fodder?
