The main seeding problem Scotland has is the copulation of Old scum fans which results in another generation of knuckle draggers following the ugly sisters, imo.

By the way how were Hearts unseeded in this round yet a team like Birmingham was when Hearts have a better record in Europe than they do?

If the English co-efficient is what made them seeded then how come Hearts weren't yet the Old Firm were?

If you haven't played in Europe in the last 5 years, you get a fraction of your country's coefficient. Clubs who do play in Europe regularly take their own coefficients.

Sounds dumb. :)

I don't get all the end-is-nigh patter. Spurs are a good team from the biggest city in Britain and a fortune, relatively , to spend building a top class team. They'll probably cuff better teams than Hearts by similar scorelines somewhere along the line this season.

How well did anyone expect them to compete whether at home or not?

What I really don't get is people stating that Hearts should never have lost 5-0 to Spurs, why not? The gulf between the two clubs is absolutely immense!

Hearts current squad were assembled for the paltry sum of around £275,000, and our players are on around £3-5k per week.

The Spurs side that were on the pitch are estimated to be worth somewhere in the region of £160M, and their players are on wages of anywhere from £20-£100k per week.

The sheer gulf in the quality between the two sides that money can attract is simply unbelievable, top players will go to Spurs because they have money to burn, mediocre players will come to Hearts because we can't afford to pay high wages, sadly it's the way football is these days and it's only going to get worse with the poor getting poorer, and the rich getting richer.

A side like Hearts should most definitely be losing to a star studded side like Spurs by 5 goals to nil, it could have been a lot more!

Originally written by John Robertson, Hearts legend and hammer of the wee team with 27 fantastic goals!

For the next decade I was driven by desire to crush Hibs at EVERY opportunity.

It didn’t matter if I scored for the reserves or first team — every goal against them gave me immense satisfaction.

The spurs have multi million players excuse is becoming another myth amongst the lying jambo scum.

Your arses were kicked by 'arry's boys.

Your manager is a fucking idiot, your players are equally fucking stupid for doing what he said.

Hearts did not shitfest a game against a side you knew were going to be better than you. Lineup and tactics were wholly wrong and no attempt made to spoil the game or to effectively stop Spurs playing.

Stupid inept football. The 5-0 was well deserved.

. Nor should Hearts have ever been losing 5-0 at home to spurs anyway.

Aye. You're right. We are a disgrace to ourselves and the spl. Imagine letting in 5 goals to a top epl side.

I see where you're coming from. Because there's absolutely no way that spurs, or any other epl side could ever put 5 past another
epl side.

Man utd 6-1 arsenal
Man utd 7-1 Blackburn
Notts forest 1-8 man utd
Man utd 9-0 Ipswich
Liverpool 6-1 hull
Chelsea 6-0 west brom
Chelsea 6-0 man city
Chelsea 7-1 Aston villa
Chelsea7-2 Sunderland
Chelsea 8-0 Wigan
Arsenal 6-0 Blackpool
Arsenal 7-0 everton
Newcastle 8-0 Sheffield wednesday
Blackburn 7-0 Nottingham forest
Tottenham 9-1 Wigan.

My point is these results and kind of games happen all the time. Even when the resources and size of the clubs are alot more evenly matched than that of hearts and spurs

I'm sure the Hearts fans will be delighted to hear some tactical advice from one that has watched and applauded as 'genius' five years of wrist-slittingly negative play week in week out the moment the Midden start hovering at the dangerous end of the table for the rest of the season that has most fans staying away from Midden Park and later The Methodrome as a complete waste of an afternoon and good money - but which Paisley Midden fans still think is some sort of 'achievement' to brag about year in year out ad nauseum.

Five years of boring the tits off the rest of the SPL, all so they could continue to brag that they're still belching, farting and slobbering at the top table, whilst other clubs took some chances because they cared about the fans getting some entertainment for their hard earned money. Sure, some got relegated instead for their trouble, but others also got for their reward to see European football.

You know: Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Gretna (RIP), Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell - even Queen Of The South managed to do so. Would any of them swapped places with St Mirren? Would they hell - not even Gretna.

No wonder you and the other neanderthals have to come onto every single other team's thread doing little else but going 'ha ha' - schadenfreude's the only enjoyment out of football you will ever get. Which makes it no enjoyment at all - merely the bitterness of some small-town-small-minders happy to suppurate by a sea of sewage and kid themselves its a fortnight in the Algarve.
