John is ready to enter his second season in the senior ranks with the Bully Wee. He was initially signed last summer and went on to be a regular in the team during 2010-11. The 23-year-old can always be relied upon to give his all in any position Posted Image

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

What a fucking topper of a strike. Take a bow, son.

After being on the fence about our midfield dynamo, I am now a committed Sween-tologist.
Let's all go to leggoland (it's hilarious)

I remember when we signed him and we all thought he was 6'5 as he was photographed next to Hadyn Cochrane. Sao Paulo was baffled when we saw him play up in Dingwall in pre-season.
23 years but not forgotten.

Good man! The boy has everything and his committment to the cause is heroic. He's our midfield general and top goalscorer all rolled into one Posted Image

I'm assuming that everyone so far is happy to be added to the John Sweeney tufty club? Black and gold army, you might not be such a fan of Sweeney this time next week after he orchestrates our 3rd win on the trot Posted Image

Up there in the goalscoring stakes so far with the likes of Naismith, Stokes and Jelavic.

His throws put Rory Delap to shame. What a phenomanal signing this is turning out to be.

Motherwell be afraid, very afraid.
We are a team, of fame and fortune.

We never really got to see his throws and 30 yard howitzers last season until pretty far into the campaign which was a travesty. Duff-o just lets him do his thing and we've all seen the results Posted Image

John Sweeney was made in a lab. Its the only excuse for the unlimited energy and and the bionic right foot he has.

He makes me weak at the knees.

All I said this afternoon was that the goal wasnt as good as everyone has made out. Which to be fair it isnt, people have said its one of the best goals they have seen in the flesh etc.

You also said that he hit it from 30+ yards out into the top corner, which just wasnt true was it?

I have always been a fan of John Sweeneys and argued many a time with SP over this last season.

A bit like Kilmarnock used to do when Gordon Marshall made a save - a police badge or something came up on the scoreboard with the caption "You've been stopped by the Marshall" or something along those lines

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

It did look better in the flesh than it did in the highlights, perhaps a slight exxageration

It's the best goal that's ever been scored by the best player in the world, FACT.
