Can any Celtic fans still remember the nights when the great Gordon Strachan had yuo in the Champions League last 16?
Of course, you are all much happier now that you have a fellow bigot in charge.

Stodgy stuff last night, and I'd lay the blame almost solely at the door of Lennon.
The team was wrong, not the personel, but the set up - Commons on the right just isn't as effective, whilst Samaras and Stokes should have been played closer together. If Lennon had gone to his "classic" 4-3-1-2 set up, he could have been fine, Samaras actually won a fair bit in the air last night, but Stokes was too far away to capitalise on his knockdowns.
It was the substitutions that left me scrathcing my head though, i read to day that brown was apparentlt struggling to make the game with a bad ankle, and then told Lennon he wanted to play the full game. If taht was the case I would have preffered Lennon to have made his first sub Forest fro brown, stick Commons on the left and go to a proper two up-front. Ki and ledly would have been okaat reatining the ball against the swiss last night, although i think the put in a extra man in midfield in the second.
Maloney actually looked quite bright when he came on, and I wouldn;t eb averse to him getting a start ahead of Commons, but the Samaras for McCourt sub was Moggatastic. The Celtic fans wetren;t happy when Stokes went off but they have to realise that a.) Stokes is poor as a sole striker and b.) Samaras was still neede to win things in the air. Taking Samaras off left Celtic strikerless precisely wehn they wanted to be turning the pressure off. Fior a second I though Lennon was going to invoke Mowbray's finest hour - playing brown up front as a target man - but no, it all seemed a bit haphazard in the end.
Celtic definetely have it in them to beat that side, although they looked decent on the break last night, in switzerland. If Kayal and Hooper are back I'd suggest a simple 4-4-2 with Samaras and Commons dropping out middle to front.

I [agree/disagree] with your assessment because you [praised/insulted] a [team/person] that I [support/loathe]. Furthermore, I [admire/ridicule] your writing based on the previous statement, and not on the merit of what was actually written.

There is still an incentive for Celtic to win this tie, even though Sion will be papped out by UEFA regardless of what happens. UEFA have said that they will not investigate until after the tie, and the draw for the Group Stage is next Friday, only a day after the second leg. That means that if Sion were to win next week, they would presumably take a provisional place in the draw - similar to Olympiacos Volou being in the Playoff Round draw, only to be chucked out a few days later and replaced by Differdange.
Sion's coefficient would see them as a 4th pot team, and if the draw went ahead with them in it, then Celtic would end up replacing them as bottom seeds in the group. A Celtic victory would most likely see them seeded in pot 2 for the draw. It is therefore imperative for Celtic's chances of progression from the group stage that they win next week.

I can see Celtic scoring in Sion but i cant see them keeping the back door shut.
Celtic are not performing well without the 4 players they aremissing but they should get no sympathy because they have the biggest squad in the SPL.
Ccottish football really needs Celtic to win or get a scoring draw in this game but with the players out and Celtic's away form being that bad i think the best Celtic can hope for is a 1-1 draw.
prediction...2-1 Sion

Apparently Sion have priced the tickets for Celtic fans at £61. Bad enough you might think except Celtic have added a £9 service and admin fee on top of that.
£70

Only at times, the curtain of the pupils lifts, quietly,
An image enters in,
Rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
Plunges into the heart and is gone.

Celtic 0 - 0 FC Sion
Celtic endured a frustrating return to European action as they struggled against Swiss side Sion in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

How much longer will Celtic's supporters give this utter fucking clown of a Manager?
Papped out of Europe at the first hurdle twice last season, and struggling to an average Swiss team, despite the tie almost certainly being a pressureless "free shot" due to FC Sion's lunatic Chairman. Throw in a piss-poor title capitulation, and spectacularly inept Cup Semi Final defeat to Ross County, one wonders why on earth this buffoon hasn't been hunted yet.

A turd of such epic proportions it has to be released in three installments. The first can stand on its own as a complete adventure. The second links to the first, but has a dark, inconclusive feel generating an air of foreboding and leaving itself wide open for an unknown ending. The final chapter has drama, excitement and moments where you think all is lost. A grand battle is waged where good overcomes evil and peace is restored in your gut.
