I think it's an excellent blog. It was better when he took picture's of the game and edited them, but I'm led to believe he's not allowed to do that anymore.

I'm sure bunglebounce will correct me but I think he had someone from the SFL get in touch with him and said that it violated copyright / he didn't have the SFLs permission etc. so he had to stop using photos.

That explains the Subbuteo I suppose.
Still, I can't help but think that the energy and time exerted on that blog could be spent much more constructively by someone who clearly has a knack for attention to detail.

I think it's a terrific blog. Got a mention on the Grauniad website for a while too.
For what it's worth, his review of the QP game is fairly on the money, IMHO, etc.

Aye, I think that was the case. He had an article on the site about it a few months ago. A bit fucking stupid, IMO. I have a picture of my phone that I took of a Clyde game last week but I better ask the SFL before putting it as my wallpaper. p***ks.

It's an excellent blog. There's also one called Rangers Tactics for, well, Rangers. Both very articulate and a good read.

That should be called "have a go at Maurice Edu at every conceivable opportunity Tactics"!

I think it is only fair that a blogger of equal standing goes and observes bungles moves on a fives court on a Wednesday.
It is a good read, it is well articulated and makes valid points. However I have an attention span of a sparrow, so I like my ready break for breakfast.

You will retire me, but Iniesta will retire us both.

I better clarify. I had a kind word from someone at the club, informing me that the SFL got in touch with them to make sure County were aware it was going on. So in essence: 'have a word with the lad before we write to you formally to get it stopped'.
Even if I go along with the train of thought that all publicity is good publicity (for Ross County and the SFL), I always vowed to stop using photographs if it was going to get the club into bother.

That was a real treat, to be commended by Jonathan Wilson especially. It made the relatively piss-poor site traffic worthwhile!

My personal favourite is http://3attheback.blogspot.com/, which covers a lot of the SPL.

Thank-you for the comments gentlemen. The success of my site relies a lot on word of mouth, so do pass on my First Division preview and other posts to your favourite alternative messageboard. You can also follow my commentary on Twitter (see below) and 'like' the RossCountyTactics Facebook page.

Good on you for having the courage to say what you - and I'm sure many others - think. It was always going to be a niche concept; not everyone will like it.
I do take exception to the 'miniscule' thing though. When I said "relatively piss poor", it was in the context of much more successful sites in the genre and prior to the publicity. Over 3500 page views in the last 30 days is dandy enough for the league having not even started yet.

I apologise. The post that I made was unnecessarily rude and was probably as a result of listening to Jim Traynor's phone in last night. I've deleted my sardonic post and whilst tactical analysis is never going to be my thing, I hope you continue to enjoy blogging about it.

I'll be conceited enough to bump this thread, because it surprises me to say that the site is up for an award for best Scottish football blog! I have little idea about the award itself, but it is always good to win something.
If you have read the site before and wish to show your support,
OR
If you simply wish to help me FTOF, because currently the two biggest rivals are Rangers Tax Case and Celtic Quick News
...then I would appreciate a wee vote.
It isn't much, just three clicks:
One click on the link below to the voting page.
One click for the button of your blog of choice (it's the second poll on the page)
One click to hit Vote!
Tartan Blog Awards
Thanks

"The soul of a club is the product of its history and the history of a club is a product of those who toil in its cause with their hearts on their sleeve as well as the badge on their chest, who play with an awareness of where they are and in whose footsteps they tread."

Voted as well. Sadly it looks like the polls have been hijacked by Celtic fans.

I'll vote if you promise to make out Ayr have a chance the next time, rather than the truth.
