I was reading about Sassoulo on Thursday or Friday. It's quite an interesting story, a local glue company fund them but they seem to spend money wisely and all the players are on individually tailored training programs according to the blog I read. What's the quality like in Serie B?
I watch the Bologna vs Parma game this morning, Bologna had the better chances but it was a poor game.

Sassoulo will struggle if they go up with out spending a fortune.

I've been reading a bit more about Sassuolo, they have climbed the leagues gradually since 2005.
Their home ground Stadio Enzo Ricci only holds 4008 fans so since 2008 they have played at Modena's Stadio Alberto Braglia which holds 21,151 fans. Their average attendance is only 2392. The lowest average attendance in Serie A in the last 10 years were Empoli in the 06/07 with 5096 fans. If they get promoted it would be a great achievement imo. I'm going to try and watch them against Hellas Verona on Saturday if I can get a stream of the game.
- 05/06 - Promoted to Serie C1.
- 06/07 - Lost in the playoff semi final to Monza.
- 07/08 - Won Serie C1/A under coach Massimiliano Allegri. Promoted to Serie B for the first time in the clubs history.
- 08/09 - Finished 7th in Serie B.
- 09/10 - Finised 4th in Serie B.
- 10/11 - Finised 16th Serie B.
- 11/12 - Currently joint top on 46 points with Torino.

i was speaking to a couple of their fans and they say its because off their small stadium that they have moved. but if they only get a couple of thousand, i dont see the point of playing in another stadium. but it seems to work for them and good luck as well. looking at the programme of the game they beat Modena 5-2 in Modenas 'home game'. Also reading la gazzetta della sports match report Gianluca Sansone is carrying the team at the moment, so hope he stays injury free for the rest off the season before he is snapped up by a Serie A team.
i noticed sky italia show each Serie B game live on a saturday so hope you get to see them.i thought the game was going to be very defensive but turned out different.

Not scored in a few games and Fiorentina score two in one. Goals galore.
Inter Milan lose their first game in eight (?) to Lecce. Incredible.
AC Milan 1-0 up against Cagliari live just now. Ibrahimovic with a free-kick. He's having an amazing season.

2-0 Milan now, Ibrahimovic knocks down for Nocerino to hit a great strike.

Udinese go 3 points behind Juve at the top with a win tonight, Toto scoring as always. AC lost so they stay a point behind Juve who now have a game in hand.
Game of the night was in Milan, where Inter drew 4-4 with Palermo, Diego Milito scoring all 4 for Inter and Miccoli getting a hat-trick for Palermo.

It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

Every time I watch Udinese, Di Natale scores.
Seen him score in something like the last 10 games in which I've watched them. Probably not all that much of a revelation seeing as he seems to score all the time regardless, but still. Great player.

Miccoli's 2nd goal was a fucking peach. Oh and Maicon is an absolute champ, playing in that weather with short sleeves, true man.

Sergio Pellissier scored his 100th Chievo goal the other day.
Doesn't get much recognition because of the club he plays for, but has been a terrific captain & striker for them.

Yup. I'm surprised he hasn't moved onto a bigger club. Would be excellent with a better service. Too late in his career now.
He also scored on his only international appearance.

10 man Novara recorded their first away win of the season, beating Inter Milan at the San Siro. They have only won three games in Serie A this season and two have been against Inter.
Inter seem to have fallen apart since the Milan derby.

Udinese are done for the season. Di Natale has a suspected fractured/broken foot and Isla has suspected knee ligament damage and will miss the rest of the season.
