Borussia Monchengladbach have been amazing this year! There is one difference between now and this point last year... Lucien Favre! Reus, Herrman, Arrango, Jantschke, Hanke, Dante etc etc were all still there under previous coach Michael Frontzeck. The main difference this year is the defence, we currently have the best defensive league record in Europe just now, only 13 goals conceded in 23 matches! A lot of credit needs to go to the 19 year old Goalie Marc-Andre ter Stegen. His displays have been something else, this lad will probably go on to be the best Goalie in Europe if not the world. He's a Monchengladbach boy and fan and has been with the club since he was 4 years old!
I honestly think Borussia can go all the way and win this league! However, 10 points above 5th place Werder (Who we pumped 5-0 earlier this season) it looks like we're sorted for Champions League fitbaw next season!!

For what is a really young team there's some crackin' players in there worth looking out for. Patrick Herrman (20), Marco Reus (22) and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (19). All 3 will be regular starters in the German team!

Es gibt nur eine Borussia :-)

Some turnaround.

Maintaining it will be difficult with Rues leaving and possibly Dante to München.

Dante to Bayern still seems uncertain. Dante is wanting to wait to the summer, though Max Eberl is positive he'll sign a new contract. We've also lost Nordveit to Schalke.
With Champions League fitbaw on the horizon and playing in what my opinion is the best league in Europe, I reckon we'll be in a good position to sign some decent players. Losing Reus will be a massive hurt, he's been excellent the last few years! We always lose good players but seem to have decent back up, Marko Marin and Alexander Baumjohann being good examples of late.

He's been on fire lately! His freekick against Schalke 04 was amazing and his finish on Saturday v Kaiserslautern with the outside of the left foot was sublime!

He makes Gladbach tick. His understanding with Reus and Hermann is amazing, and whilst he's always had the technical ability, now he's showing a workmanlike side to his game as well. Favre is getting the absolute best out of this team, and even although I'd call Dortmund my German team, I'd love to see Gladbach win the league.

Can't think of a manager that's made such a turnaround without having millions to spend. Really hope they finish strongly will be difficult to keep this team together for sure.
