I presume Inverness City will, as usual, play at NMP once the cricketers hand it over ?
Is life nomadic until then, or will all Home fixtures be at Grant Street Park ? (comparing City's & Clach's fixtures, there aren't any clashes).
Any NMP handover date known ?

I agree that the new North website looks like it will (future tense) be a positive step forward.
However, at the moment, there's quite some confusion in the Fixtures page :

- all the League Cup fixtures of Groups 4-7 are omitted;
- I thought Longside had a Friday night GA inter-regional cup game on 19th Aug ? - that's not now shown;
- and intriguingly it shows 2nd Div fixtures on SUNDAYs 21st & 28th Aug,
That could be good if true, to double-up with Saturday matches! But seems a bit unlikely though. Especially since one of those "Sun 21st" fixtures is Colony Park v Cruden Bay, and I'd got them both having League Cup section 5 matches on Saturday 20th...

I do appreciate how much effort it is to maintain a website, but hopefully early teething troubles can be overcome a.s.a.p.
I don't know how any of the clubs whose fixtures are omitted feel about potential customers checking the Official fixture list and thinking there's no match on, which they could've gone and paid their entry money at...

Tomorrow's RAF Lossiemouth v Bishopmill game is to take place at RAF KINLOSS. K/o time unchanged at 2.30pm.

This is due to the football pitch at RAF Lossie still being - a rugby pitch !

Results post above lists the midweek RAF game as having been played at Lossie but apparently that went ahead at Kinloss too.

:D

Echoing City Dave's Q : did the RAF Lossie v Forres Thistle game on Tue 9th also take place at RAF Kinross, as per RAF Lossie's first two Home fixtures ?
Any idea when the RAF Lossie pitch reverts from rugby to football ? - i.e. are there any more RAF Lossie fixtures already planned to be at RAF Kinross instead ?
The next "Home" fixtures I have down for RAF Lossie are Sat 27th Aug and Sat 3rd Sept.
As you no doubt know, gaining access as a spectator needs a certain amount of advance planning !

Thanks.

North Region site : has Grill Cup Section 3 wrong as Hermes have conceded 2 to FC Stoneywood and 2 to Culter, also Newmachar beat Glentanar by 2-1 not 3-2.

Phil, that's RAF KinLoss (near Forres) - KinRoss is a different place (in Fife).

If you were to go to a game at RAF Kinloss, beacuse of the set-up there you don't need to get met or signed in, as you would do at RAF Lossiemouth .... the pitch at Kinloss is open to the public.

You can get more info from one of the RAF club contacts, who are listed on the Club Directory - link below :-

Tremendous fight back by City yesterday, three down after 50 minutes to a decent Portgordon Victoria side. Fought back to win 4-3. Nice composure for the winner by Kelvin MacKenzie put through one on one with the goalkeeper, good finishing. Portgordon Victoria look like they will be no push overs in that 2nd Division, could be up there end of season.

Would actually be better maybe next season in that as there are enough teams now in the 2nd, if the powers that be allow 2 up 2 down between the bottom of the 1st and the top of the 2nd as there could end up being a bottle neck of better teams at the top of the 2nd than at the bottom of the 1st.

Agree great fight back Dave unsure how on earth we were 3 down though? The Portgordon goalie was excellent today something I couldn't say aboutYoungers in city goal. good to see wee Gary miller play like that in 2nd half frightening when he gets going. Grant St looked good again very entertaining game to watch just don't give teams a 3 goal start.

It did look like we underestimated how good this team were, rediculous performance in that 1st half. There must have been some heated words in the changing room at half time cause City were totally different when they came back out, more fight, more commitment and looking like we wanted to win. It does show self confidence and belief within the team that we are capable of coming from at the time 2-0 down and 2nd best. But as you said we shouldn't give teams a head start.

Looking forward to the New Elgin game on Tuesday night, a decider. Both ourselves and New Elgin have the goal difference over Burghead, so the match winners will win the group.

The August 2nd Division games on the site have been moved to their correct date. They still have to move the fixtures from September. I don't think they were to be played on the Sunday anyway.

On the subject of Fochabers, I take it they have to play at other grounds for the next few weeks, just like last year with the pitch unplayable due to the Speyfest?.

Good result for Cruden Bay, hopefully they on the way back up.

Does anyone know if Steve Gray and George Webster both of whom played for Cruden Bay are still involved in the junior game?

There's a new Cruden Bay club website, George Webster is listed as a player. Cruden Bay JFC

Thanks for the info that it's a simpler process to attend a match at the other Moray airbase, when RAF Lossiemouth use the RAF Kinloss pitch instead.
That's obviously the one I was meaning, but I evidently don't know the difference between my Rs and my L. Boh!

Just back from Grant Street Park, thinking we were playing New Elgin tonight at that venue as today's edition of the the P&J had said the match was in the Highland capital. Didn't see anything earlier on the City website either.

Reached the ground and found only a couple of people there inspecting the pitch no one else. So assumed I had missed something either in the press or on the website, thought the match maybe had been shifted to Nairn. So got home checked the papers and found nothing other than what I had seen already. Then checked the City website under latest news and found the match had been shifted to Burghead and the article had been on the website since Sunday!!.

Again City have been unable to secure a venue for a match within Inverness, this doesn't look good. Maybe everyone is starting to run out of patience with us and our situation. Hope this doesn't happen with our League fixtures either.

So missed a match that I was very much looking forward to. Anyway here's hoping we make the Quarter Finals.

Do Inverness get fined for every match that is not played at NMP?? £100 a hit must be hard to take!
