We've played better against stronger teams but I think this result was largely down to the refs inability to crack down on the treatment dished out by Fraserburgh on our players especially Stevie Sanderson who was kicked around the pitch right from the start to up to when he was subbed late on. Absolutely shocking infact I would almost go to say it was part of a pre meditated plan to put our biggest goalscoring threat out for the season such as the nature of some of the challenges and longer term Utd would then have an easier task of winning the title and gaining promotion to the relegation zone of the Superleague where their dirty tactics don't work as they get found out.

We were gifted our first goal stuck away by Stevie Sanderson many claiming he was offside and Jordan's goal was SPL standard almost like passing the ball into the net from the edge of the penalty area. We were let down by our defending for Utd's goals the 2nd as we pushed up to kill the game and then almost losing the match as Utd caught us on the break, Dan taking one for the team having no choice but to bring the player down before reaching the penalty box denying a goal scoring opportunity, but we should have never been put in that situation if the ref had done what he was supposed to do. I would have been absolutely raging if we had lost that game. How Fraserburgh Utd managed to finish the game with 11 men still on the park is beyond me. But also I have to mention our players kept their cool, showing focus on what needed to be done and well done for that.

I think we should beat this lot on their own pitch when the resheduled game gets played, next time their tactics of assaulting our players will be their downfall.

Agree Dave Fraserburgh had plan assault key men however saying that 2 goals lost were shockers what is keeper doing 1st goal Mr Young to blame big time route 1 not dealt with and 2nd is criminal to lose when city on attack. Thought Ross T and wee Miller very quiet yesterday but there's always next week lads. How funny that they go off the park like they have won league already.

Some cracking ties there with top team Hermes facing Stonehaven and Banks O'Dee v Culter and the soap dodgers away to Hall Russell.
New one for City I don't think we have played Ellon Utd yet. Edit : we played them at the Bught Park in a friendly pre season.

Reading there in the Inverness Courier that Keith Mason made his 150th start for Inverness City on Saturday the first player to do so for the club, congratulations Keith.


I would guess there are a few other players not far behind in starts for the club, who else is the closest to 150 starts for City?

You're right there are a few just behind myself included......Garry Miller,Iain Young.
Stevie Sanderson is close to 100 goals (in 85 starts I think it is). Andy Martin starting composing records and I carried on his work to get a full history of the club since its north caley days.

Very interesting to read and was a enjoyment to do.

Its stats I have from the start of City, what are you meaning by the origins and history?? I will pass the milestone in the next 4 games, Youngers 5 games, and wee miller 9 games!! Tess from 85 starts has 95 goals!!

Just over a goal a game (1.12 I think ?) for Tess, there won't be many players currently in this Region with a goal ratio that impressive despite some of the high scoring games the Region gets.

Looks like we might be lucky and get most of the games played before the wintery weather really kicks in on Saturday afternoon. Looks like the temperature is going to drop rapidly during the morning and afternoon, hopefully the pitches will still be playable. Would not be surprised if the snow showers start coming down during the games as predicted especially in the west of the Region.
