Surely it would be just same as doing a double chance away win/draw instead?

Yeah, that's how I approached it with the away teams, although used +1 on the handicap instead of double chance.

It just depends upon how you want to do it.

The odds are fractionally better doing two lines compared with taking the double chance approach (based from using Paddy Power last season)

As cityfan says, he took the +1 option.

It's like any bet though so far as there are three methods of doing it and there can be differences between the odds within the same bookie.

Putting the various lines on is a pain in the arse though.

I am also interested. You appear to have had a decent handle on the La Liga for a few seasons certainly.

I would also like to see the teams please.

Did they often look something like this last season:

Man Utd
Chelsea
Milan
Barca
Real
Lille
Marseille
Dortmund
Leverkusen
Munich

7 of those will win each week?

With Lambies Pigeon Feed posting last night, that brought the total to 30 people who have asked me about this to date and who may take an interest.

I simply did not anticipate this at all. I though I would get a few people showing interest and a lot of others shouting "Shite" at me.

rrfc83 and Kendawg, if the present numbers drop I will add you in but at the present moment I cannot as I don't want to stretch myself any further.

Sorry :(

If your going to be charging a subscription for this in the future would it not be best to show your proofing.

I assume you took note of all teams that the system highlighted and on what week they were playing etc.

By the way I am not doubting your results but anyone can say they have a system and 77% were correct and you are now selling the system.

Looks like I may have missed the boat here, but I would be interested in the free months, and will take you up on your subscription if I see profit being made.

I would also be interested in this, but obviously you are restricting it to thirty people. Would it no be more simpler to create a twitter feed and then you can let the people here subscribe to you?

I had not thought about that to be honest.

As I said, I thought maybe 4 or 5 people would show interest.

If the results pan out and things are going well, then that's maybe something I will need to look at.

If you're going to end up charging folk it's pretty shady to create a twitter feed telling everyone the teams for nothing.

I would imagine that it will continue to be popular, especially if you have a nice streak at the start of the season. Certainly is a worthwhile experiment that I would like to keep track of. If you let me know who the thirty are, and how far down I am on the replacements list, I will get my assassins on the job tonight.
You will retire me, but Iniesta will retire us both.

The idea behind this was to let people assess if it works for them or not. That is the reason I will provide the information from September through to end of October. People might think its crap whilst others might think it is worth further consideration.

If it does, then I would be looking for some sort of nominal fee. I have also asked people for feedback on this aspect as I have never been involved in any sort of tipping service etc.

I supopse its basic market testing.

Irrespective of whether you have any intention of continuing beyond the end of October, after which point I may look for a nominal sum, I would still be more than happy to supply the list of team from start of September to you.

You have absolutely nothing to lose. I supply some teams which you may or may not choose to back with some small stakes. If you do back some winners, you make a wee bit of cash. If not, you get to come back on here and call me an arse or any other expletive of your choice.

Would there also be an option of you opening some sort of message board so those who are on the list can discuss which of the data they will be using and how?

I appreciate that might not be possible, especially in the 'free go' stage of your service but if others see it does work you may get more subscribers *hopefully this won't come across too much like I can't pick my own winners so want to copy off someone else!*

I am assuming here of course that you won't want us discussing it on the thread we have here when the games start churning out?

Again, something which I had not thought of.

I suppose everything is up for discussion and agreement but everything hinges on system actually working.

Some games will be selected which people would be following anyway. There will inevitably be crossover between both.

If it does replicate or improve upon last season then I don't see why we could not explore this issue and others although my PC skills are not the greatest and I may need some assistance here

What about a simple numbers system? Then it is disclosed between us without giving the picks away. Fueradejuego could put out the list, and if wanted to disclose between who we were taking, we could simply go picks 1, 4, and 5 for example.

Creating a Yahoo/Google group is also an option. We use a Yahoo Group for the Football Manager research and it works quite well. You would just need to send the one message and everyone would get it and everyone can also talk between themselves on list.

I really appreciate all the help and suggestions so far but let's just make sure that the system works when it is up and running!!

It is by no means perfect and there will still be weeks when it performs poorly.
