To Win Singles

Man City @ 4/1
Huddersfield @ 9/2
Swindon @ 9/1

Promotion Single:
Cardiff @ 11/2

Promotion Double:
Huddersfield @ 6/4
Swindon @ 9/4

Top Scorer E/W
SFL 3 - Craig Gunn @ 33/1
EPL - Van Persie @ 10/1

Still got a chance with most of these.

Man City and Swindon top
Gunn joint top scorer in the third division (33/1 , McBookie are mugs) and Van Persie is clear out in front in the EPL
Huddersfield and Cardiff both with promotion chances

So pretty happy with that. The only disaster for me so far has been Leicester.

Swindon still 2nd favourites @ 10/1 (did go out to 11/1 a few weeks back). Have waited to see who Di Canio signed first and today put £50 e/w @ 10/1. We have now signed 11 (in talks with a 12th) players. We have played 3 friendlies so far, winning 11-0 5-0 and 4-0. So 3 games and 20-0 up. The players he has signed so far all seem very good players and the Di Canio lure factor has helped get some better then League 2 players in. Paid a 6 figure sum to Grimsby for their top goal scorer.

Signings so far

Joe Devera
(defender)(Barnets player of the season 2 seasons running)
Jonathan Smith (centre mid) (York City's player of the season)
4 Italian players - Comazzi (an experienced Centre back, spent most his career at Verona although 2 games for AC Milan where he started his career), De Vita (striker) off Livingston, Cibbochi a left back and a goalkeeper in Lanzano.
Also signed
Nambian international Oliver Risser (who will be club captain, midfielder)
Ghanaian Ibriham Atiku (midfielder)
Algerian Mehidi Kerrouche (Striker)
Dutch Winger Etinne Esijas (winger, played for Sheff Weds a couple of seasons ago in Championship)
Alan Connel (striker) 6 figure fee striker from Grimsby
In talks with signing Alan McCormack (centre mid) from Charlton, also for a fee.

On top of this, we kept our player of the season Matt Ritchie (winger), Paul Caddis (Right back or mid) and Simon Ferry (centre mid).

I am probably being bias but this has to be the strongest squad in League 2. Only hope they can all gel, but all the early signs seem promising.

Everything Di Canio says impresses me, why he has rejecected players, our training regime, binning old fitness coaching, slating players fitness, binning players with no work ethic.

Also a sly dig at long haired freak David Prutton who played for us last season, always stroking his hair

Comment of the year from Di Canio: "A player who gives blood-and-guts performances is what I want.

"I do not want someone who wears a hairband thinking they are a model."

£725 back :D (did cover myself with a few games to go by backing Shrewsbury @ 10/1). Icing on the cake, whilst out in Swindon after game met Di Canio, Simon Ferry and a couple of other players.

Just kicking myself in lucky 15 done Swindon, Man City, Scunthrope doh! and did have Reading, but changed my mind and put Leicester on doh!
Di Canio, what a Legend on JPT Final and Swindon "It is the best trophy I can win. Even in 10 years’ time when we win the Champions League I will remember this as the start of my career.”
