Has Nelly actually signed along the dotted line for us? I know it was reported a while back that he had verbally agreed to stay next year but don't think any paperwork was actually signed.

I thought he had already signed a few months back?

Wouldn't say past it. He still has the skills with his close control and can throw a 40yrd pass for fun with the odd shot from way out for good measure but his tackling although weak before is non existent now and hangs back from the ball too much.

He's no longer the attacking midfielder he was. Just doesn't have the legs for that type of role now and barely got a look in towards the end of the season. He'll be 32 by the start of next season so there's still a couple of years in him yet at senior level but it'll probably be 3rd division or lower 2nd division.

As I mentioned he had only agreed verbally when it was reported. Not sure if he had eventually signed.

Released - David Hay,

Why was Hay released always thought he was a solid keeper?

Despite going against what I said I will reply :P

Im gutted to see Davie go, simply I don't think we could afford to have 2 keepers on 'decent' wages as I assume Jimmy wanted to keep Ludo. I'm not happy that Ludo was kept on, he may not be but I am making assumptions here. I've also heard Duff will be signing for the Rovers so I don't know if this was a factor. Davie was not on big money as he has a decent job out of football, £200 a week max but I'm sure it was less than this.

Absolutely delighted Molloy has signed a new deal. He was our best player last season by a considerable distance IMO. Graham Weir has struggled in the 1st division but has always been a standout at this level. Squad really starting to take shape already. :D

The pillaging of Alloa continues. We take Smith and their sponsors. Brechin get the rest of the pickings. :)

They are all free to do as they please.

No word on who is being offered contracts for season 11/12.

Am sure Dick will be busy working on new signings and tieing up the players he wants to keep from the squad that did so well for him the last 2 seasons.

Not sure we require byers and an old player returning doesnt usually workout 2nd time.

As for overspending the budget we have heard it all before.
