Well done to Jed Legion tonight, they had to get a result to give them a fair chance of staying up with their final three league fixtures being agst Duns , Leithen Rovers and Pencaitland. Never easy to get a result at Newtown so credit when it's due.

Cheers PencAms. Aye Newtown no the easiest place to get a result but we dug it out. I'm trying to resist saying anything about the referee as it no my style and they have a difficult job but he had a poor poor night. I think I'll leave it there before I get masel into trouble and get a few red thingy's

Tweeddale Rovers 3-0 Linton Hotspur

Rovers outplayed Hotspur in every department

Euan McNeish made to look average by Grant Wilson, Another great win and promotion looking almost certain for Tweeddale

We have very little chance of staying up now after another poor result last nite. We would now need to win at least two out of our last 3 and hope hawick dont pick up another point. Looks like we will have to rebuild again next season and push for promotion and get up on merit rather than through the back door like last season.

Only seen the 1st half and the Tweedale defence was rarely troubled. Linton Hotspur have some good players but couldnt get them into the game
. Grant Wilson played well and has improved his game. Hope both teams can go up.

Jed played well last night were 4-0 up with 20 to go and our right back got sent off for last man which resulted in a pen which they scored! The second pen conceded was for high feet! Massive 3 points!

A very good performance from Tweeddale last night. They had the lions share of possession in the first half and managed to turn that into a 2-0 lead with two clinical finishes from Grant Wilson. Linton struggled to get on the ball in the first half and the game was being controlled by Meikle and Rogers.

Second half was more even with Linton managing to get into the game without really troubling Kev Slater in the Tweeddale goal. Tweeddale managed to wrap it up when Wilson picked out Cassidy who provided a tidy finish.

As for Macneish, I thought he had a good game last night but can't help but feel Linton would concede a lot less goals if Forsyth partnered him at the back.

Have watched linton and tweeddale a few times this season and think both teams have the ability to play in A division, the only thing letting linton down is consistancy, over the games I have watched them they have gone from looking like a very good side to being a poor team. I also agree that if campbel had partnered mcneish at the back the would of conceded a lot less goals. Tweeddale seem to have a very settled squad and I have been impressed every time I've watched them. Best of luck to both teams, I'm sure it won't be to long before your in the top league. Its great for peeblesshire football to see all there teams doing well.
