It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

Oblivion was one of the first games I got for my 360 and it was just amazing. Think I racked up 100+ hours on it. WELL GUID

I have the Oblivion add-ons but can't play them for some reason (something to do with needing to update my game clock on live - which I don't have - or SOMETHING because they installed on my brothers Xbox fine
), will have to wait a bit longer for my Elder Scrolls kicks! Aye it looks stunning and vibrant, also (just from this footage admittedly) like you'll have more power available to your character - sword in one hand staff in the other.
The Elder Scrolls canon map shows Skyrim's a smaller place than Cyrodiil though am I being pessistic there?

I think that's the idea although on the bright side there should be more content as opposed to all the empty space you had to run through in Oblivion when you couldn't fast travel. Also there'll be plenty of add-ons in a Shivering Isles fashion too I imagine. So don't worry, it'll be another 100+ hours cracker.

Looked at sky through smoke and God was not there. The cold, suffocating dark goes on forever, and we are alone. Live our lives, lacking anything better to do. Devise reason later. Born from oblivion, bear children, hell bound as ourselves, go into oblivion. There is nothing else. Existence is random. Has no pattern, save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning, save what we choose to impose. This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It's us. Only us.

Looks good. Some of the textures will need a bit of work though. and if that engine can do everything they say it can I fear for my poor PC trying to run it never mind a console.

It really does. I was worried it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but seeing that video has alleviated some of my fears.
300 hours of gameplay in total reportedly. I put about 150 into Oblivion.
