Anybody up for setting it up this year? I believe, as reigning champion, that the previous three winners have all set the league up that season.
If not, I'm happy to run it again!

It'll be the yahoo one that we've run on here for the last three or four years.

You are correct about the person setting it up having won the previous 3 years....

I'll play. Although I gave up half way through last year like I normally do, I'll do my best to stick with it this year.

Okay folks, comments welcome. I tried making it as simple as possible this year. I hope that doesn't offend too many. I can adjust the league size, points, draft date. Can everyone give me a British time that would suit. At the moment I fixed the draft for Thursday, March 24 at 8pm UK time. That's by no way final and its a lot more fun with more players online for the draft. I thought middle of the week, on a night most folk stay in would be best.
The details otherwise are;
League ID#: 82647 League Name: Pie & Basebovril Password: 12RuelStreet
And the direct link: http://baseball.fant...omantotherescue

That isn't a time that i can do, basically it would have to be around midnight on a weeknight for me to be able to live draft. A weekend may be better (and Sunday better at that as the Union are playing on the 2 Saturdays.) Obviously if i am the only objectee, then i'll have to autodraft, and i will blame that on my loss this year lol.
As for points, it looks like getting someone that has a perfect game or hits for the cycle will be a big advantage, but at least that is rare and worth it. However - i think that hitting a grand slam should have no more points than hitting a regular home run (other than the extra RBIs). Having 3 teammates in front of you shouldn't be a reason to get 40 bonus points, but again that may just be me.
p.s. obviously i signed up

that time suits me fine, though i'm happy enough if it needs to be changed to suit others

Agreed. Bonus points for perfect game and hitting for the cycle will be reduced, and grand slam bonus points removed.

I may have to autodraft, i'm assuming based on bluetooner's post that's ok? I'm going to be up in Uist that week, and i don't know if the internet will be good enough. I'll try to sign on for it.
I had a look at the site, do you have to set up a player list/queue for the autodraft to work? Or are they drafted by rank?

Both. You make your own list - and if you don't it goes by the Yahoo rankings.

How would Sunday the 20th be for you and indeed others?
If you can"t make it, make sure you make your own rankings, because the computer will draft injured players if the aren't officially on the DL. And also rank one particular New York based player in the top ten even though he has no right to be there.

Might change it to then if it suits everyone else...?
It definitely suits me better
As for the autodraft, and the fact Mr Rodriguez is likely to be top 10 - i would pick him #1 if i am dishonest.
I wonder if i will somehow manage to get the Freak again this year....

Doesn't appear to be an option in points leagues.

So for purely selfish reasons - get it changed

I was actually thinking of Derek Jeter.
