Lots of coverage for DL3 on the PGA Tour last night. Shame he couldn't put a score together.

Quite enjoyed watching Tiger and Phil plodding their way around the course. Phil's energy levels seem to be really affecting him now, but when his games hot, its still fabulous to watch.

Great to see big John Daly put a score together, would love to see the big man back in the winners circle!

It was a frustrating day for Davis, no part of his game really turned up. Will need much better today if he is to make the weekend.

It was great to see Phil play well again, but as you said, he's struggling with his energy, and it'll be interesting to see if he can keep up the momentum today. I expect Tiger will go on and shoot another decent number on the South today. His temperment still doesn't seem quite there, but his swing is looking far better than it did 12 months ago.

I always fear for Daly when he has a good start, he has done it before but hasn't been able to sustain it. He still has immense talent, and always will, hopefully he can have a good finish and give him a chance of winning his playing rights.

Should be good viewing tonight! (For a while last night I thought the Sky Studio was going to erupt into a full scale war with John Hopkins ruffling a few feathers!)

The studio was pretty intense! Not only with John Hopkins opinions on rules, Tiger etc, but also John Hawkesworth (I think thats his name, couldnt find out) really hates Rickie Fowler. Pretty much admitted it was irrational dislike, couldn't muster a reason!

I expect if there is a woman official with one of the groups then someone will say that there is no way she knows the free-drop rule.

An entertaining third round on Torrey Pines, which is a very stern test this week. Been almost 'Major Championship' like conditions, great to watch! We have a great leaderbaord going into tomorrow with talented Bill Haas tied with Phil Mickelson at the top. With a whole host of great players behind including Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahan, Bubba Watson, and last weeks winner Jonny Vegas!

Both Tiger and Big (Not so anymore) John Daly fell back.

Should be a great final day!

It's not about looking cool, it's about an image, self-confidence, familiarity.
Gary Player wore black, Tiger wears red on the Sunday of a major, Rickie Fowler wears orange every Sunday. So what?

Quite a few people do feel the same way!

But to the event, what a final day it's going to be! A Major Championship golf course, with a Major Championship quality leaderboard, absolutely brilliant! It does almost have that 'major' feel about it, even though it's only a regular event!

Hoping that Phil or Vegas get it done today.

Unfortunately, 73 and 76, +5, Missed the cut by 6 shots. So not a good week at the office! :P Playing next week in Phoenix though, as is Freddie Couples.

Incredible for a while! -8 after 9 on the back nine. Unfortunately he's slipped up a bit now, but what a score!

Jeeso my man. Youve taken too much on with this Ryder Cup thingamy. You shouldve been concentrating on qualifying yourself, you still have the game as proven at last years US Open :) Just get practising youre putting.

Pheonix is a really exciting course eh? And with those two playing, il have to make time to watch some of that.

It;s not all doom and gloom, finished 9th at Sony two weeks ago. So some good play is still there!

Phoenix is the course with the famous 16th Green which is surrounded by thousands of rowdy fans! Always great fun. And always has ridiculously low scores!

And Bubba Watson clinches it! With a fantastic birdie on 18!

Great drama with Phil Mickelson, 72 yards out, needing to hole his pitch to tie Bubba, sent his caddie Bones up to remove the flag. And he very nearly holed it! Fantastic stuff!

Great win for Watson, his 2nd on Tour, emotions running high at the end. He is an incredible talent, and he could really be the breakthrough man this year, don't rule him out of the Majors....Augusta here he goes!

Final Scores:

1. Bubba Watson -16
2. Phil Mickelson -15
3. Dustin Johnson -13
= Jhonathan Vegas -13

If Mickelson holed that wedge I was giving up the game and selling my clubs.

For a brief second I thought he was going to! Absolutely incredible effort, will do a great deal for his confidence. First time in contention for a while.

Yep! He's a sensational talent and has a great attitude, a breath of fresh air. If he keeps this up, a shoe in for Rooke of the Year! If he keeps this up, maybe even more than that! Look forward to seeing him for the rest of the year, and at Augusta! Only two months away now!

Looking forward to the Phoenix Open this week on the PGA Tour where a strong field will be playing in front of a rowdy weekly crowd of about 500,000! Including the famous Par 3, 16th which is completely enclosed by Grandstands and has been the scene of some crazy moments, most notably the hole in one by Tiger Woods way back in 1996.

Always a great week! Should be terrific viewing.

It should be excellent. My only problem is, why do they always schedule this to clash with the superbowl? The crowd on the Sunday drops becuase of it, and thats when it should be at its best!

I think this is a good chance for Ricky Fowler to get his first win, came close last year and has started well this year. 16/1. Yes please. Also stuck a patriotic quid on Laird at 80's

Cannot actually believe tht Tommy 'Two Gloves' Gainey is leading the Phoenix Open atm. I remember him from Big Break (5 I think), his swing was a mess then, and its still a mess now. Gets it done though, but I cant help thinking the 2 gloves thing is just a gimmick.
My tip Fowler is 4 back, 27 holes to go, come on!
