Tremendous bottle by Snedeker to hole those putts on the first two play off holes. Donald will be gutted to have let the title slip.

Martin Laird seems to be on holiday. Didn't play last week and I can't see him in the field at New Orleans either.

Bubba Watson wins his second title of the year and moves himself to the top of the FedEx Cup Standings after defeating Webb Simpson in a dramatic playoff at the Zurich Classif of New Orleans!
Interesting that Bubba has won both events sponsored by his own supporters the Farmers Insurance Group. Think he wants a raise?!

Lucas Glover claims the Wells Fargo, his first win since the 09 US Open, after defeating Jonathan Byrd in a playoff after a classic final day.
Looking ahead to The PLAYERS Championship, always a highlight of the year from the TPC Sawgrass and will see Tiger Woods returning to action after his month out after Augusta.Should be good!

My bets this week were: Jason Day, Jim Furyk, Bo van Pelt and Brendon de Jonge. Looks like 3 of them are missing the cut, de Jonge by miles!! So I'm left supporting Jason Day, who is a wee w**k, but I'll have to hope he does a turn.

Going to be an exciting final round at The Players Championship. Lots of players in contention.
Top Ten
1. Graeme McDowell -12
2. KJ Choi -11
= David Toms -11
4. Jason Dufner -9
= Davis Love III -9
= Aaron Baddeley -9
= Luke Donald -9
= Steve Stricker -9
= Nick Watney -9
Fantastic leaderboard, and there are plenty of great names slightly further back. Anyone's tournament!

Some finish there. Thought Toms was dead and buried after finding water at 16 then watching Mr KJ birdie 17. But that was some approach out of a divot to 18 and a great putt to match. Playoff time!!
Almost got a return off Jason Day, -4 for his last 5 holes brought him to -9, but it was only good for T6 sadly.

Horrible anti-climax in the playoff. Gutted for Toms.

Off topic but good news for our Davis Love III.
The real Davis Love III has qualified for this year's Open via the American Qualifying event.
Britain's Brian Davis won the qualifying event with a 64. American Chad Campbell finished outright second with 65, one shot ahead of compatriots, Davis Love III, Spencer Levin, Chris Tidland and Bob Estes and Australia's Nathan Green, who also all qualified for golf's oldest Major, to be played at Royal St George's at Sandwich in July.
The final qualifying spot went to American Jerry Kelly, who won a playoff after six players finished tied for eighth after matching rounds of 67.

I'm absolutely delighted. 25th consecutive year that he has qualified for the Open. Quite an achievement! I'm also pleased for Brian Davis who played well back in 03, the last time the championship was held at Royal St Georges.
Not long now until Ivor Robson announces the 6.30am group at the tee at Sandwich!

Harrison Frazar won his first tour title at the St Judes. Robert Karlsson lost in a play off for the second year running at this event.

Martin Laird one off the lead at the Bridgestone WGC event in Akron Ohio. Last I looked Darren Clarke was dead last.

He's played very well this year. He comes across as a very likable guy too, good on him.

Hope Laird can get himself into contention next week and secure a top 30 spot. He's sitting at 31 or 32, so a top 20 finish should be good enough to get to the Tour Championship for the 2nd year in a row.
I haven't felt this good since James McFadden scored against France in 2007
