Glock and D'Ambrosio have been announced as next season's drivers, as well as Petrov (signed a new 2 year deal a couple of days ago).

Should Renault - Renault not now be known as Lotus - Renault?

It should be Liuzzi/Di Resta IMO.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

Thanks all, tidied it up. Still no confirmation from Toro Rosso or Force India, I would expect them to stick with the same driver line ups as in 2010. Hispania are concentrating on next seasons car rather than choosing drivers at the moment.

Difficult to say I think it will be between di Resta and Liuzzi for the second drive. I would like to see di Resta racing in F1, but I also think Liuzzi should be given the chance I thought he was unlucky last season, this team is pretty good at keeping continuity. Sutil should be all but confirmed now all the top drives have gone.

Liuzzi has had enough chances now, he isn't good enough.
Di Resta should get the seat, him and Sutil would be a decent line-up.

Given Di Resta won DTM it gives him more credibility than Luizzi who has struggled against most of his team mates.

Anyway this was being discussed in last year's thread by it seems to have hit mainstream press that Legard is looking like being replaced.

http://www.dailymail...han-Legard.html

I think the Mail calls it correctly. It is a gamble to have Brundle as main commentator as he is an excellent analyst and DC is also appears to me to be a bit wooden when they interview him during races.

I would have had David Croft and Martin Brundle for the TV coverage and put Legard on 5 Live alongside Anthony Davidson.

Who could be another pundit if DC goes on commentary ? Or would he stay as a pundit and during the Grid Walk go to the commentary box.

Toro Ross have confirmed it'll be the same as last year, although there's a fair chance Daniel Riccardo will replace one of them at mid-season if they haven't done well enough.

Force India will be two from Sutil, di Resta and Hulkenberg I reckon - although Luizzi has a contract!

In the eyes of his fans, it does. But winning another series doesn't automatically mean he will make a better F1 driver. If Vejay Mallya thinks he can get more out of di Resta than Liuzzi and push Adrian Sutil he will change drivers. Also if Liuzzi had struggled against most of his team mates he would have been long gone. It also would seem hard to imagine Nico Hulkenberg without a drive, I would actually prefer that he got the drive, Nico would push Sutil hard from the start where as di Resta might take a bit of time, so it likely both Liuzzi and di Resta might miss out anyway. I'm not sure though if Force India would have two drivers of the same nationallity.

Hispania have signed Narain Karthikeyan up for next season.. He has been out of F1 since 2005 when he drove for Jordan. Also Senna and Chandhok are out of the picture for a drive at Hispania. Maybe Klien or Yamamoto?, Klien is solid but was never a stand out, Yamamoto is just not quick enough. Someone else maybe, there was rumours last season that de la Rosa would be heading for Hispania, better than what Hispania have had but not exactly raising the bar. Who do you think?

Hispania have left FOTA, they say its because FOTA are more geared to the big teams, FOTA say its cos they havent been paying the bills.

Bye Bye Legard, Hello Coulthard...

Brundle's on a charge now. Can't be any worse than the previous incumbents...

Not only is Legard gone but FOM have now gone and done an HD feed which the BBC are taking so F1 will be on BBC 1 HD too next year. Posted Image
Be interesting to see whether Brundle works as main commentator and how Brundle/Coulthard stacks up. Being the main TV commentator is difficult, James Allen for example always struck me as a bit of a numpty behind the microphone but he was good at analysis and in print is excellent.

Could they have swapped Crofty and Legard around?

When has Coulthard ever shown any knowledge of F1 beyond that which Red Bull tell him?

Pretty much every time he has been on TV.
