East Kilbride 0-1 Minishant.

Played today. According to my young brother who plays for the Shant, it was a scrappy game but a hard fought win for the Ayrshire minnows.

Well done the Shant.

only one tie in the west of scotland cup for the purists this week - minishant v glynhill. hopefully get enough of the molehills cleared off the park for both teams to get a fluid passing game going.

cheers ladywell bear..think we played vale of girvan preseason? they beat us and looked pretty decent and had quite a young team from what i can remember.

But aren't Girvan mid-table of the bottom (4th) division?
My mate plays for Westies 1s and I was stunned when I heard this result. I figured, well maybe given it's the cup and the element of the unknown, I'd not have been quite so surprised if they had to have travelled down to Girvan for it. But to have lost the game at Norwood really surprised me. Good luck to Girvan though.

Barely got a game tho cause there was nothin to me at that age - just got bullied!! Lol.. Gordon Wilson was the gaffer at the time. Had a cracking team back then, charnley, essler, Paul bonar...

Vale of Girvan havn't been beat in 90 minutes all season. Only defeat was against Premier league team Galston after extra time in one of the cups. Yes the team sits in mid-table in the bottom league but 2 reasons for this:-

1/ Deducted 6 points for fielding an illegible player by mistake in a game which they won 10-0
2/ Only played 5 league games due to success in numerous cup games. Many of the other teams have played at least 10.

for three years and with the ex maybole and glrvan juniors in the squad will be avery hard team
to beat.
